So what are you looking to find in the black friday sales, some have already started and some are still to start.

I'll be looking for some replacements for my Alpinestars SMX6 drystars and perhaps a goretex jacket if the budget can stretch that far.

Unfortunately that crap idea of black Friday and cyber Monday is nothing more than a scam.

They put up prices from October to give the impression that you're getting a bargain.

What you're getting is the correct price you would get in September.🙄🙄

Agree with @husoi, I've been sent a shed load of black Friday crap via email, not found one thing that was cheaper or a bargain and in most cases it actually cost more.

Now I'm sure there are some deals to be had but probably better ones in Jan Feb when the reality of low sales dawns

Black Friday bargains equals the shit that is time sensitive and needs to be sold pronto.  Those fancy reebok trainers that will be so last year when the new model arrives in january.

The 50" 4k flat tv that will be obsolete in a month or so because the new model has the latest 8k oled screen and the latest standard in sound projection that does not need a sound bar.

The 48 bar box of mars bars with a best before date that runs out before xmas.

I have never bought a bulk box of mars bars (or other confectionary for that matter) that has lasted longer than a week in this house.  Don't know what it is, but anything chocolatey seems to evaporate within just a couple of days.  I probably need to get someone in to look at that.  😄

Must be infectious as we have the exact same problem. Sublimation of chocolate would seem to be a thing.

I will look and probably get seduced into something I don’t really need.  There are afew bargains out there but few far between.

Usually I avoid Black Friday for the reasons stated above. However, this year I needed to replace my laptop so I've been monitoring prices for the last 6 months.  Most of the so called sales are precisely the case of being false claims or old stock being shifted.

Fortunately I got lucky, the one laptop I wanted went on a genuine reduction saving me £250.

I got a new bike jacket at a genuine 20% off which given the RRP of the thing was a considerable reduction. Also matching trousers which were the older version and therefore had a 30% reduction. So far as I can see the only difference between the two versions is the shape of the pockets.

I might just try the Rhinowalk 18L Saddlebags

I can voucher for the 10 and 20l tailpack bags. Everything stayed nice and dry on a recent trip. Keep an eye on Amazon, I stuck them in the basket and left it a day or two and I got some discount on them.

Well now. I thought I was getting the old model Rukka Nivala pants but no what turned up was the latest Nivala 2 which were well beyond my budget at £1,050 (!) I paid £450 so I am very pleased. Still eye-wateringly expensive and I will not be advertising the price to herself but should be good for several years at least. My old stuff lasted 5 years then the zips and clips started failing and the trousers were no longer waterproof which at this time of year is not nice.

The wonderful spirit of Black Friday has gone. These days it’s all about pointless deals online.

The traditional Black Friday involved fifty-ish fat and/or ugly people on CCTV punching the shit out of each other in Asda to get a non-branded 48” flat screen TV none of them need.

I want those days back.

Saw yesterday in B&M a air fryer for under 80 quid.

No idea the brand.🤔

Or how crap it is

I wanted a power bank capable of recharging my laptop. Usually they are £70 upwards. I picked one up at Argos today, a Juice one and I've had their power banks before. 20,000ma and 100W. £34.99. It's a neat little thing. Very handy at that price.

Last week, in Sportsbikeshop I tried on a pair of Revit Goretex trousers but at £439.00 I couldn't justify it. The advertised black Friday sale has them at £351.00, That's put them in the worth it/need them bracket. Delivery tomorrow :)

To my surprise I did but I was buying new winter riding kit anyway so getting a significant saving was advantageous. I'd have needed the stuff anyway as my old gear was past it.
