  1. ouch! Hopefully just bruised... get well soon!
  2. ooooohhhhhhh any news on if Esparago is staying at Suzuki?
  3. Aww! Just keep your eyes open for anything sketchy happening to the security devices on yours and others bikes. Put as much stuff on as you can carry to make it a hard target and you'll be fine

    Dating....

Have you tried some meetup groups of things you're actually interested in? Go because you want to do whatever it is worst case you make some new friends. Best case you meet someone you like or some new friends know someone who is available
  5. Oxford stuff is a bit hit and miss their screamer disc locks seem to be very temperamental. I'd get a disc lock and chain - if there's 5 bikes and yours has nothing it makes it the easy target. May not be stolen to see if it's a bit old but joy riders may have a go.
  6. Have you got it the right way up? ....hard to say.....
  7. yeah but he's a good solid rider. Rins is a good rider when he holds it together but last year he threw away a shed load of points by silly mistakes
  8. They're ditching esparago???
  9. Yay dovi! I don't think ianonne and lorenzo would make good team mates - can you imagine if he took him out on the last corner So... ianonne to suzuki or jumping ship to super bikes?
  10. Haha Aww you need to punt soneone out your team then just add whoever you can afford I'd recommend Rea think he's scored all my points
  11. Ooooooh top info ta
  12. The Cotswolds is tempting.... just need to see how far that would be for people I think I'm supposed to be finding somewhere North London-y but then I don't get a long ride out

    New generation

At the time my logic was it will chop the feathers up and collect them in the bin bit save me raking the lawn. In reality I just ended up with chopped up feathers over the entire lawn. Which I then had to rake This is why I'm generally not allowed out by myself

    Brake squeal

Sounds like the bikes knackered. You should buy a nice new green one

Fun fact: if a hawk has killed a pigeon on your lawn and after removing the carcass you are left with many many feathers mowing the lawn is not recommended
  16. Ah well if you think you're gonna drop it then you probably will because you'll start looking down rather than keeping your head up. Pick a nice spot a good few meters away as your guide point and remember you don't get bonus points for tightest figure 8 so keep it nice and wide and you'll nail it. I asked the instructor if I could take a minute after the manual handing bit and before you start the slalom (so I could take a few breaths and calm down) He said no problem as it's not a race! I know it's easy to say don't let the nerves get to you but remember it's not a race and you can take pauses between the elements just to refocus and you'll nail it
  17. Theory is valid for 2 years https://www.gov.uk/driving-theory-test/how-the-theory-test-works" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
  18. all of the above! Also it's a five minute job (unless you spoon it epically by not accounting for additional tension when you re tighten the axle ) then another 5 mins for a quick clean and lube
  19. When I first started riding I didn't like filtering too much so just kinda waiting around, as you become more confident you'll be zooming up the right in no time Also especially in stationary traffic I find the biggest danger are other two wheel users who change "filter lanes" without looking right in front of you! Taking some time to assess the situation like you did rather than banzai'ing it up is top stuff Also as Al-stu said remember to thank nice drivers! I see the same people everyday and I like to think they are more likely to get out the way for the lovley green bike who thanks them
  20. So you can't see the bit where ALL OF THE RIDES WILL BE *runs away*
  21. Weather's looking ok tomorrow go for a jolly run it down in no time
  22. Then I'd wait for about 130 miles Took mine off pretty full. Bloody heavy!
  23. Top tip: don't decide to remove the tank the day after you fill up
