  1. According to 'Sorry Mate' 58% of all accidents happen on 50cc-125cc. with negligence being the most common cause. If you're not comfortable by the presence of a large cc bike, then ride a smaller one, nobody cares and it really is that simple. @MikeHorton Remember, Opinions are like ar*eholes
  2. I saw plenty of bikes with German plates heading up to the IOM ferry. Great to see
  3. I had an argument with a tree once. The tree won
  4. Moody Skies over Shap. 220 Mile Round Trip. Up to Penrith - Keswick - Kirkby Lonsdale - Quernmore - Home, oh and an Empty Layby
  5. Not a fan of riding in the lakes however, the weather appears to be kinder oop up there tomorrow. Will venture up there at some point
  6. Which is why I said only you are in control.
  7. My manual for the MT07 change brake lines every 4 years - Braided lines next if the rubber has degraded enough
  8. I change the brake fluid every two years - piece of pish on the MT. Not changed the plugs yet (3 years old and only 7k miles) When I'm near the mileage I will check them but not necessarily change them for the sake of it.
  9. If you can do it yourself, why not. You will be saving money and have some left over to buy the carb balancing gauges for around £30. Plenty of info on the Utube. I prefer to do it myself too.
  10. I would politely say any Tw@t can go fast in a straight line.
  11. I don't think it matters, only you are in control when riding that bike. I have two bikes, one is double the torque of the other. Both deliver enough power, obviously one more than the other. I prefer the smaller of the two to be honest.
  12. If I can afford the fuel, I will be heading out all day Sunday. Unsure where - see what the weather is like, its either, Yorkshire, Lancashire/Cumbria, Wales or Derbyshire. Just filled the MT07 @£18 wtf. I will have to raid the piggy bank to fill the KTM @£40 a tank
  13. Europe in 3 weeks time is in Jeopardy. Rather than cutting the trip short and changing all the plans, I'll have to postpone it till Sept. Only got a week
  14. RiDE -Alsace-Lorraine & France-Comté
  15. I see many accelerating and hard braking on my commute. Overtaking then braking hard making others brake - isn't that a fail
  16. Just completed a Bikesafe Course two weeks ago. One on one with Plod. He was very complimentary on my ride, saying he hardly saw my brake light and new I was implementing IPSGA. Yeah the car driver was at fault however, I couldn't tell if the motorcyclist eased off the gas and just carried on until it was too late. Who knows Must add, been riding 30+_yrs and still learning
  17. Not sure you will achieve what you want there!. Wired tracker would probably drain your battery more times than be charged from it. With minimal wiring I would look at the Monimoto 7 tracker - no wiring but £36 a year subscription. I have had mine a couple of years now, not bad for the money.
  18. Wouldn't expect anything less from that tabloid
  19. I don't think both are very bright
  20. I think you would be better off on either a K1600GT or a Goldwing then
  21. +1 for the BMW R1200-50RT. Toured Italy on mine, a bike that can handle the Tornanti with ease and cruise all day on the Mway and crunch those miles
  22. No snow here but plenty of road salt, glad the commuter has been covered in XCP and tuther with ACF
  23. what a load of Bollox
  24. Yes. I never got around to putting it on the auction site, its still in a box lurking in the garage somewhere
