After my coffe break at Omaha beach. I head over to Carentan and stop off at Sainte Mere Eglise and meander around the town and museum.

The Commonwealth headstone holds more detail than any American or German markings. What is so sad, not many had a choice, every man capable had to fight this war even if they liked it or not. And on to Point du Hoc - hard to comprehend that each time a ranger fell there was another at the bottom awaiting their fate. Time for a coffee stop.

The Following day was to be my first day exploring the area, well I haven't been down this part of the country since 2017 with the kids and it was 2005 when on the bike. 1st Port of call was the American Cemetery, this place is kept pristine and immaculate.

After a trundle through the French countryside and small villages I finally arrive at the campsite. Once set up and showered I have a short ride to Bayeux for some supplies - weather has been kind.

So I decided to take a few days away and headed off to Normandy. A full car to myself - then again it was 05:50 - the return though was somewhat different - I will add more pictures once I can work out how to keep the image the correct way. Also just realised wrong thread,

I cant think of anywhere free. You're in the thick of it there. The NCP IMO are only reasonably safe, but I have only left the bike during the day. Personally unless the accommodation are unable to accommodate me & the bike, I would be leave the Pan at home and take the train, much safer.

The good old days of cash is king have long gone, the old common denominator for corruption, tax evasion and money laundering, now its phishing emails and online scams.

I'm a Rukka slaag. Over the years I have bought many items of clothing that claim they're waterproof, they might well be for an hour or two, and I cant be mithered with Oxford shite over suits. Never again would I buy an Oxford item of clothing (just my opinion ). I saved my pocket money and took the plunge with Rukka Laminate

Don’t feel like riding at the moment, and that scares me😅
Pie man replied to Troy's topic in Motorbike Chat
Often. I find myself struggling to find the enthusiasm to get the bike out and go for a ride. I have to set a target (a place to ride to) and ensure I ride there and not just around and about. I know, once I'm on the bike its doing good for my mental health. -
Michelin Pilot Road 6 Fitted to loose wheels - What a fookin palaver Just been for a little test ride - wheels still connected to the bike

Bike camping gear
Pie man replied to Slowlycatchymonkey's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I cant be bothered cooking when camping - just enough gear to make a brew in the morning will do me, I don't think I stray far enough away from Takeaway food to need anything else -
When I enquired about the refund, they did say its only a matter of days. The promotion with Michelin, I believe, runs till the end of June, I wonder what then
-
Well the price of tyres has certainly shot up. A pair of Michelin Pilot 6 for £320 to loose wheels. Then they say you can claim £30 back from Michelin. No, why not just sell them for £290, even that is expensive. Well I have to do it, albeit begrudgingly

Well done & Good Luck I've just resigned

I suppose with roads as good as those, why would you want to build a lay-by
