  7. I would go for the KTM 890 Duke GP 'The Scalpel' It fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
  8. I hope you get all sorted for next year I'm unsure exactly where yet. I was meant to be going to Austria in Sept, but a change in career has put paid to that. I only have a week, so I'm quietly mooching over where to go.
  9. He sure does - I'm just choosing my moment to explain to the wife I will be off to France (Hopefully) within the next 4 weeks for a one week trip
  10. Genuine Question. Where would the OP be keeping their bike. As we know, a timber shed is a good insulator, therefore a good place to keep the bike free from damp conditions however, a brick garage will probably be more secure. Mine are in a brick garage.
  11. Had a run out on the KTM - Starting from the Veterans Cafe next to City Airport (Barton) and headed over Warburton Bridge to Arley Green, around and over to Tatton Park and Manchester Airport, from there over to Macclesfield - Cat 'n' Fiddle - A54 and back to Mac and followed the same route back to Barton. Nice little 4hr run - flask of tea and a couple of rich tea biscuits
  12. Any weather rider - well, when I say any weather, I mean I don't mind the rain and cold - I try not to commute on icy roads and deep snow. Over the years I have invested in good clobber - heated clothing and heated seat etc.
  13. where would the OP be storing his bike
  14. I get hours upon hours of enjoyment and good mental health therapy for £39. Far cheaper than counselling Don't count the miles
  15. My local track, it can be quite challenging, especially in the wet - (I used to race Karts back in the day). They used to hold a turn up and ride - not been for a while though. Well worth the money .
  16. I feel your pain. Been without our kitchen from Jan to May. Just waiting for the flooring to go down next week and then I can fit the skirting and then done. Wife has been on at me for years about getting a plate warmer - so we splashed out, since it has been installed it has never been used - she keeps forgetting about it. .
  17. Putting gloves on (last) is all part of my warm up ritual.
  18. Damn - would have done, but the Mrs is down in Londinium (she's been invited to some concert). Next time
  19. Nice one - such a beautiful country and friendly people
  20. Hello - I have it connected using the switched live (Behind the headlight on the KTM). Not really put it to any real test as yet. It is far more advanced than the old 340 I have been using. I have been using Basecamp for many years with the Garmin 340L on the MT however, Stu has sent a link to a very useful Garmin Forum.
  21. After I fitted the Garmin XT, went for a little ride to J&S at Oakmere Cheshire. Got talking to a few bikers who were heading off to Germany. Now sat with a glass of vino mulling over my travel options
  22. Where abouts are you.
  23. err how long do you tour for.... I can usually get away with a 30l tail bag and a tank bag, and that's for a fortnight. I've never heard of anyone posting clothes before
