  1. Where you going!
  2. Scotland . Up to Loch Lomond area then head on over towards Inverness - on to John O'Groats - Durness - Ullapool and then back across to Inverness area, and on to the Cairngorms then down through Northumberland - and home. Original Plan was over to Germany. . Next year is the Alps (with a bit of luck)
  3. It would be fun, wouldn't it
  4. Yeah I have looked at that, Only need to provide proof of double jabbed by showing the NHS app and sign declaration form (engagement-sur-l-honneur), which I have down loaded. Its coming back in to the UK. I need to carry out lateral flow test 72hrs before and PCR test after day two upon my return. I can buy the lateral flow before I leave the UK, My concern is 'what if the lateral flow is positive'. Stuck in France on a campsite with no support or do you have to present yourself at a quarantine hotel. Already changed plan and heading Norf. Heading up to John O Groats and the NC500ish. The Alps will have to wait until next year - maybe
  5. My Euro plans have changed now, due to lack of available information or support for the independent traveller, I cant afford to isolate abroad for 10 days. Trip delayed until next year.
  6. Good Evening - Just finalised the Tour - The Northern 1200 Including JOG.
  7. No test required for outbound. £30 for return Lateral flow test and on return day two PCR test £43 still far cheaper than £1'199 for a caravan in Cornwall - however you run the risk of a positive result while out there and no support apart from a call to your insurance for help........
  8. Now France is accessible, you can get a Monday to Friday deal in a 3 berth caravan for Less than £190.
  9. I Feel sorry for your lad - having been on the receiving end of something similar myself. Unfortunately it is the innocent that carry the punishment and are far more inconvenienced than these yobs that steal moped and motorcycles. As the saying goes, crime has risen constantly and the justice system hasn't followed, the law doesn't have a suitable punishment for these young offenders, but yet many think we have a criminal justice system.
  10. Trying to Salvage this years tour.....
  11. Nope - gadget it just right. I have an Oxford Screamer disc lock and found the batteries never lasted very long, and often just use it as a disc lock. Cant imaging the batteries lasting long with this gadget either. Not sure why you would lower the siren volume, I would want to wake every fecker up
  12. c'mon that's too easy. You would have thought someone develops an app to operate home charging point and car in unison, charging unit wont work on any other car unless connected to the app. Your app then tells you when car is fully charged or not etc. Oh wait.......
  13. Good evening. Been commuting to and from work all week in the rain. To be honest I don't mind riding in the rain.
  14. Just clocked over 5000 miles on the little MT07 as I rode home from work tonight. Shameful
  15. Sorry to read this has happened, total 'Shithouses' as they around our way.
  16. Me too. I haven't seen anyone do that for a long long time.
  17. My old man worked for Heinz, there used to be a staff sales shop, sold everything in a tin with no label - over the years I eventually learned what was what by the product codes on the top of the tins - in the early days it was pot luck if I got soup for breakfast instead of beans on toast At 2p a tin we couldn't complain.
  18. all the best -

    First...

@Six30 Looks like a handful of fun. Great pic, that looks like a posh lay-by too
  20. Hi Fish I feel your pain. Have you tried phoning them. I didn't bother entering any details on their website I spoke to a human. I wanted a multi-bike policy, fully comp including commuting on both bikes along with full no claims and Uk/European break down assistance for both bikes, carry pillion etc. They beat everyone else I tried that day by £100
  21. Currently they mix NG and Hydrogen 80%/20% on a blending trial. Back boilers, are there still many around (I know there probably is but in reality they should be replaced)
  22. That's a mighty fine looking motorcycle (even better looking garage )
  23. and there lies stupidity - and the need for risk assessments. The OP is going to other places too, the weather might not be as unpleasant in Darlington (although I doubt it )
  24. Oh dear - I think there could be a slight problem there!
  25. Slightly but there has been an interesting announcement in the boiler manufacturing industry. The Big 4 boiler manufacturers committing that hydrogen ready boilers will cost no more and 1 hour labour to convert and could use existing pipework, appears it would certainly be far more affordable than GSHP or ASHP.
