  1. Where are you stopping? We loved it great country to visit
  2. I look forward to seeing rhe progress I'm sure it will be worth the effort
  3. What about these with a nice pair of red wellies I'm tempted to go puddle jumping. At 47 I'll most likely get locked up or sectioned but hey who cares
  4. I rarely use the bike for commuting since change of role and location. I miss the ride to and from work a good destress and unwind. I work Birmingham City centre now half the commute is misery and trying not to get wiped out so prefer to use the train or bus which is a big shame
  5. Crikey looks like years if neglect I loved the 650 is it the rotax engined one or the later bigger engine version? Will be great when it's all sorted I'm sure. 1st pic looks like a bit of fusilli pasta !
  6. It's good to always think when overtaking has that person seen me. If there's not much room it's often worth waiting until you know you have been seen
  7. On safety this was a good video to watch. Bruce has a lot of experience but goes to show brushing up on skills is no bad thing
  8. Don't bother wearing any trousers then they won't get wet, problem solved and my pleasure
  9. Hi Peter we love pics on here so please get posting. Electric doesnt really fit the bill for me yet but I'm sure it will. If I only had a short commute I'd probably opt for a super soco here in the UK
  10. Yes they do my friend Jeff who recommended them is having a custom carbon fibre seat made from scratch for his cb900 all covered I think is around £300 or so quid
  11. Will do mate I was looking at CM seats in Hinckley but this company is more local and do more designs etc. Friend of mine has had many done at P&P and rates them
  12. I'm taking a ride out to this place on Monday I've had it on recommendation for seat upgrades. Hoping to get a price for a gel insert seat recover to make it a bit comfier for longer rides https://m.facebook.com/100057161302120/
  13. I always go for rhe Wolves even when they ain't playing that good!
  14. Managed to get out for an hour on the bike about 4pm just before the rain started. Set up the user modes on the Africa twin and seemed pretty much perfect on the giving it some beans user setting smooth throttle control with reduced engine braking. Quite good to be able to customise the settings
  15. Did a homemade chilli on the hob served with potato cubes seasoned with chilli flakes and paprika coooked in the air fryer v nice
  16. Lazy weekend feel tired back up to full working after recuperative hours post op, still feeling drained. Gave me chance to fiddle with the settings on the Africa twin set the customizable modes up one for shitty rainy weather and one for v lively. I'm guessing I'll be using the shitty rainy setting for the next few weeks if I take the bike out.
  17. Jacket potatoes are great as you say microwave in a little water for 10 mins 1st. I put a bit of oil on them salt and pepper too before going in the air fryer
  18. Don't worry about rhe calender Main thing is looks like you have made a lifestyle choice and already feel in a better place as a result. Good for you wish you all the best.
  19. I can only vouch for a v good independent motorcycle mechanic in the West Midlands he's meticulously won't cut corners but a bit of a journey for you. Its in a town centre though so lots to do while he does his thing . https://smc-uk.net/
  20. When I bought my ATAS and looked up the optimate I did think bloody hell that's small. With electronic gizmos it had a lot of work to do.£516 it's a good job I was sitting down when I read that!
  21. Nah still not for me yet wouldn't fancy this on the M6
  22. I think the correct term is 'fanks for nuffink'
  23. I feel the same about it. I'm not doing masses of miles now and wife works from home. Went to one car and bought a hybrid yaris. Great little car but even if we went electric we would struggle on stuff like breaks away on a long drive. Brother in law lives in South shields and hardly ever makes the trip in one go to see the parents in law in Birmingham. Once the range/charging times and tech meets my needs I'm sure we will change. Opted for pcp as things may well be different in 4 years. Have to say though I do like the yaris and Toyota seem to be good and proven at hybrid tech.
  24. With helmets I'd always say go and try them on in the shop. Bought a new commuting lid last weekend looking at a camera but it wasn't as comfy as the hjc I went for and they will check it's a good fit too. The colour I wanted wasn't in stock but ordered in atore and was delivered to my door the next day by sportsbikeshop
  25. I rarely do anything offroady but flick of a switch gravel or off road mode is great on Greenlanes. I like the position of an adventure style.bike kind on the back and great view of the road and hazards.if you have a set of bumots that will save a few quid. I'm guessing it's the fun before purchase of a few test rides to find out which bike fits your needs best. People say the ATAS dash and switches are a faff I soon got used to them and android auto connects up simple enough. The new vstrom 1050DE is a massive improvement on the older model maybe a considwration but fuel economy is a lot lower than the Honda
