  1. Better to go Singapore or Schezwan style - nice & spicy!!
  2. We're also off to Cornwall on Sunday, can't wait.
  3. It's 'Autumn Gold' I'll have you know and is beloved by Mrs Mickly - so that's the colour of my shed & fence panels down one side of he garden.
  4. It’s probably of my own doing as I wanted glasses with straightish arms to make them easier to get in & off while wearing a full face helmet, as a result they’re probably not hooking be hind my ears sufficiently
  5. It’s probably my nose profile, or lack of it - it’s a bit squashed due to not being quick enough to stop it getting hit a few times & having an abscess removed which had developed when it was broken ( kick boxing) it also meant removing some of the cartilage. Maybe back to Specsavers to see if the can do anything.
  6. Bit of a long way to go for a free Royal Enfield
  7. Has anyone any practical solutions to stopping your glasses sliding down your nose when riding? It’s happening to me quite often & I’m pissed of having to open my visor to push them back up Especially when it’s raining. It happens most when looking down at directions on my tank bag, it also happens when I hit a bump - something happening more often due to the worsening condition of our roads.
  8. Went out for a ride today, 4 hours & only a couple of rain showers - a bit of a downer wearing vented leathers. Best thing was the attitude of other road users, don’t think I’ve ever had a day where they were so accommodating ... moving aside to let me filter / pass, no histrionics, no hand gestures, no horns ... & to top it all at the head of a queue a young lady driving an Aston Vantage smiled & said “nice bike” It gave me right twitch on
  9. Thanks, but I think I should have said that I wear custom ear plugs, so ear buds aren’t an option.
  10. As a miserable misanthrope I don’t wish to communicate ‘bike to bike’ but I would like to be able to listen to satnav instructions from my phone ... so what would be the options under £50?
  11. I had a blue GT500 - it developed an electrical problem I never got to the bottom of at the time, in retrospect I’m pretty sure the pick up coil was breaking down when it got hot !! Cracking Bike when it was working though.
  12. Chin up @fastbob Things are starting to get better - Saturday is looking dry
  13. & Me ... completely got out of the habit
  14. Happy birthday ‘av a good ‘un
  15. Rode to the Cinderella club at Hoar Park. some nice stuff there, here’s just a few that caught my eye.
  16. Yep, used to climb there in the late 70’s Many a happy weekend spent climbing, camping & drinking. Managed the ‘Sloth’ but only top roped
  17. Used to go rock hugging at the Roaches as a kid, the roads seemed good but full of traffic, spent many night at the Rock Inn.
  18. Have a good one & try not to be grumpy for the day .... unless that’s what you really like

You tried working harder on those leg muscles? Gripping hard with the knees can reduce the need to hold on so hard for so long, then I found that holding on to the Speedtriple at over *** MPH for any length of time was a pain in the neck & shoulders, extra upper body & neck work seemed to alleviate it ( plus 6 points on my license )
  20. Yep, I was in the conservatory having an online meeting - it made me jump & I had to mute coz of the noise of the rain drumming down.
  21. When I got caught out in a light hailstorm last week, I ended up with water in my visor pin lock, at least the kit dries out well in the conservatory.
  22. Not a wet clutch !! Made the mistake of using standard car 10/40 Castrol in the Trophy, leading to mucho clutch slip ... at least that’s what I’m hoping once I can afford to get it all together.
