I went out for a run today with a couple of mates who were on cruisers. The range on the Speedtriple’s dash was 151 miles when we set off, 50 miles later it showed 132 miles, must have travelled back in time

The Bi-cyclist ( Lycra clad w*nker with ‘Solihull Cycling Club ‘ on his back ) who under took using the pavement through a set of road works then jumped off the pavement in front of my mate ( on his Kwak, I was following ) then slammed on his brakes and stuck his right arm out to turn, blocking the road … luckily my mate is a laid back guy who just braked hard and shook his head, I’d have run the twat off the road.

Nope, ‘Cheap BMW parts’ is an Oxymoron. However I’ve used Motorworks for nearly all the parts I’ve needed for the F650GS as they are pretty much the only ones who stock the bits, main Stealerships not interested in bikes that age.

Ouch, I had a similar thing happen while sparring as warm up for a grading, foot slipped when landing from a kick, and I landed on my knee, it blew up like a ballon & put paid the my grading.

It was parked up at Hoar Country Park bike meet on Wednesday morning, about 100 bikes and hence loads of people in the cafe etc, so unfortunately not much chance. This is a view of a small section

That was one of the theories, but then why wasn’t everything lock wired etc

Saw this bike today with a small chain attached to the gear lever and the frame, also the brake pedal & frame the other side. Neither my mates or I have ever seen it before, what’s it’s purpose?

Superbike Surgery Ltd - cracking YouTube channel
Mickly replied to AstronautNinja's topic in Motorbike Chat
I’ve recently caught up with this channel and am really enjoying it, biggest take out so far is that ultrasonic cleaning of carbs is not the magic fix some people would have you believe. Another point is about the number of so called ‘professionals’ who have worked on the stuff before & failed to fix it and in some cases done work that wasn’t required and even worse made things worse. -

Most points have been covered, I’d like to add another …, Bloody Uber eats / Deliveroo riders ( other delivery services are available), the riding standards of these people is in my option abysmal, I don’t know if it because they’re trying to get as many drops in as possible to increase pay or any other reason but I have seen them absolutely ignore all rules of the road and use the pavement to cut through. How on earth are they allowed to do this job on L plates having just passed a CBT and no further training? The ones that use E-bikes ( some illegally over powered ) are even worse. Also see - Uber / Bolt etc drivers -

Bus lane access for Motorcycles across Coventry is a f*kin nightmare, some you can some you can’t, you have to be psychic to spot the signs ahead of making the move. Also you get loads of gestures from other road users as you breeze passed who have missed the signs

The Midlands does seem to have a large spread but to be fair it's about the same as the Scottish ones. -
A bijou show in a field at the back of a great pub that serves Bathams Bitter, nice ride there as well. Been a couple of times and always enjoyed it, only takes about 1/2 hour to walk round the field taking in the sights, however the beer is superb..

Had a problem with the gas cooker so I consulted resident expert & super hero @Bender and with his advice it’s all fixed & working fine. Gas engineer turned up today fixed & tested it also tested for leaks at the gas meter - cost £95 just for fitting - but I’m ok with that as it gives peace of mind & apparently fitting the thermostat sensor was a complete b*strd involving taking most of the oven lining apart. I’d contacted quite a few before, one said no one fixes gas cookers any more, 3 wouldn’t commit unless they did diagnostics ( despite it being absolutely bloody obvious ) 2 others said it would be 2 weeks before they could fit it in. Even the one who saved us said it could be upto 10 to 15 days to get the part - I ordered next day delivery for £75, he did give dire warnings about the cost if he turned up and it was the wrong part, happily I’d got it right! Only down side was that I had already partially disassembled it to diagnose the problem, unfortunately between us we couldn’t get the lid to stay up, so I let him off and set about sorting it myself - ffs what a faff eventually I was able to work out which hinge spring went which side & managed to pre-load them so it all worked smoothly. Also it is now absolutely immaculate due to Mrs Mickly being mortified at the thought of some one having to work in a greasy cooker.

I know how you feel, the last time I won anything it was 2 tickets to a Leamington FC match, I told the Lady on the phone to donate them to someone else less privileged who might appreciate them more, I was taking the piss but she was very grateful.

So you’ve gone from having a tug in the garage to fingering your sphincter
