  1. Keep trying the vaccination website today as groups are being added all the time. I haven't received my letter yet but I am in the high risk group but not sixty yet but I was able to book a vaccine on friday for today. For the last week I had been trying the website a couple of times a day seeing if I would be able to book a Jab.
  2. Yes I agree S-westerly distance is a problem but the old folk I mentioned all have families within 10 miles of them and in one case lives in the next village.
  3. The thing I find very sad is some old folk I know in their eighties that live on their own who all have grown up children but they never go round to see them or help out around the house and garden. They only turn up when the children want something usually bailing out or cash for a new looney venture. I listen to the parents saying how wonderful their children are doing and they are so busy they havnt got the time to visit let alone cut the grass or get some shopping for them. Deep down I hope they realize what selfish tossers the children are and leave any money to a charity or something.
  4. Thanks for the support lads its much appreciated, unfortunately there are thousands out there like me or worse trying to get treatment yet that twat Hancock keeps saying hospitals are open for business. What a sick joke.
  5. Hopefully getting my cancer treatment sorted out, spent last year being strung along and forgotten about but ive been patient and had enough. The main hospital have been really good but the hospital that are meant to be doing the treatment couldn't organize a raffle.
  6. I see your point Bob if he is not willing to pay a small amount to get the job done properly I would walk away and let him try and sell it as a non runner and see where it gets him. Or you could make him a cheeky offer to take it off his hands and do it to your usual standard Bob.
  7. I am more than willing to pull the lever the more heinous the crime the longer and painful I would make it.
  8. I am beginning to think Suzi Dent has joined the forum under a pseudonym or taken over one of the moderators as every thread no matter what its about descends into a grammar or spelling thread.
  9. You deserve the award Bob have a good Christmas and a better new year, this goes to the cat s well.
  10. That is very sad news I saw him race in the seventies, he was a brilliant racer and a very talented engineer.
  11. Im a bit late to the poll but my vote has gone to Bob this year for his outstanding contribution to Bikes and cats but I feel I would of voted for S-Westerly if he had been nominated for his outstanding outbursts against the Fe'#king chinese and their virus they have inflicted on the world.
  12. Cheers stu getting to grips with it slowly.
  13. For one minute I thought i had landed on Facett##t with the layout and blue colour but I worked it out in the end and even managed to get logged in. Now my head hurts and I need a lay down. Well done you have all done very well,
  14. Ive just coughed up so take me off your hit list Six30
  15. Ive used those tectite fittings in tight places or where unable to use a blow torch to save damaging wallpaper. The decent plastic fittings have locking rings that you twist when fitted and they cannot come apart. Never had one leak yet touch wood I used to be sceptical of them but over the years dont think twice about using them.
  16. Is there enough room to put a push fit fitting on like a Hep2o or the brass type if space is tight. I would not trust silicone and a clamp somewhere you cant see it. I know its hassle but in the long run it could save a lot of grief.
  17. My god thats ugly that certainly has been hit with the ugly stick many many times.
  18. The problem you have is if the industrial estate is public road and as I understand it you have not passed your cbt so cannot legally ride on the public highway, and the last thing you need is to get nicked.
  19. Not sure where you are in the country but can I suggest you look up an off road motorcycle centre. Some of them run coarses for complete novices up to experienced riders. It will give you the time to learn riding the bike without the hassle of all the on road stuff. I know it will be hard what with lockdown kicking in again but I think everyone should give it a go you learn so much about bike control and balance and when you fall off its only dirt or mud this time of year.
  20. As others have said a decent ground anchor and chain in the garage and when out on it chain it to posts or railings. Also make sure your garage door is secure and alarms are cheap even if you dont have power in there use a stand alone shed alarm. And do not advertise on the outside of your garage stickers and signs saying things like "Parking for Yamahas only "and the like, you are just advertising to the lowlife you have stuff worth nicking. Its a sad world having to do these things but until I am in charge and can pass a law for the death sentence to bike thieves you just have to be cautious. Another thing when you are out riding keep an eye out for bikes and vehicles following you especially when parking up or near home. Thieves scout out bikes they can nick later on.
  21. If its classed as a commercial or dual purpose vehicle with an unladen weight of more than 2040 kgs the speed limits are lower. As for vans vehicles like the ford connect and citroen belingo and others with the higher load rating are also on the lower speed limits. Loads of drivers do not realise this until they get the speeding ticket in the post.
  22. Be very careful on what the pickup is called on the V5c as if it is registered as a commercial you have lower speed limits. Commercials over 2 tonnes laden can only do 50 on unrestricted roads, loads of people have got fines as they think their car/van falls into the car derived category but it does not. Check first.
  23. They have unmarked Yamaha R1s as well and you would be hard pushed to see any lights on them even if standing right next to it.
  24. NO NO NO It looks like one of those personal sauna machines from the seventies has crashed onto a bloody scooter.
  25. I dont know how Halfords get away with selling that crap petrol resistant lacquer in no way is it resistant. form a mile away if you waved a petrol stained rag in its direction the lacquer peels off It is rubbish.
