Many years ago I was in an industrial estate in Birmingham in front of my truck was a bloke on a honda 250 if memory serves me right and in front of him was another 40 foot tautliner. As we went along the road the artic in front realized he had missed the entrance to his delivery so he stopped checked mirrors and saw I was a distance back so stuck the truck in reverse not realizing there was a bike right behind him. It took the rider by surprise and he could not paddle backwards fast enough he fell off luckily I had huge airhorns on my truck and just hung onto the cord until the truck stopped. The rider managed to scrabble to the side and the bike ended up by the triaxle. I dread to think what could of happened. Don't let your accident put you off it wasn't your fault and you will learn from it. Always position so drivers can see you and expect the unexpected as there are thousands of utter morons out there trying to kill you.

The mistake the motorcyclist made was when he submitted false documents to the police you you ratchet up the offence to what he was charged with and found guilty of namely Perverting the course of justice. If you get found guilty of this offence it can be life imprisonment at its worse and judges take a very dim view of this. The rider should of just put his hand up and took the punishment as when he gets out that conviction will hang round his neck for years now causing no end of problems in the future.
