  1. Isnt the petrol tank under the seat on them? that looks more like part of the exhaust system have a look at this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-XV-535-VIRAGO-EXHAUST-SYSTEM-MUFFLER-VINTAGE-CRUISER/283442474301?hash=item41fe7ced3d:g:wS0AAOSwiJhbu-sy
  2. Ive been with bulb about 16 months now and no problems at all, prices are good ive only had to ring once and question was answered. Got an email this week that they can connect to my smart meter to now for more accurate readings though this didn't bother me as I always entered meter readings at the first of every month. As others have said dont pay standard rates you are being ripped off loyality gets you nowhere these days.
  3. To think all those years the different factions were fighting over Beirut and slowly turned it into a bombed out wasteland yet in a split second Jonnie sailor and his katherine wheel shipment does the same. I can see why my mum said I could never have a sparkler.
  4. Well its good news for anyone in the glazing business out there over the next few months.
  5. There not being made in China are they ????????????????????????????????????????
  6. How about a rusty mid brown with the blue logo, sort of the colour of a tan leather jacket if you get my drift.
  7. Ian and Bender are correct the firm doing the work have to be VAT registered and use oem parts, another thing to think about is these days bikes have ecu`s and electronic systems on them that may need a software update to solve an issue and your independent guy may not have the equipment to do it.
  8. Nice bike but did the previous owner work for deliveroo with a topbox that large.
  9. As others have said if you are not mechanically minded take someone with you who is. Why not talk to the instructors at the training centre they often know of learner bikes doing the rounds amongst trainees. Apart from that try independent bike shops and the online places like ebay, gumtree, Facebook market place but check the bikes are legit and legal before handing any money over.
  10. DO NOT BUY A CHINESE BIKE, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY A CHINESE BIKE
  11. Yes thats usual practice just check your steel plates are flat oh and soak the new plates in oil for an hour or so before you fit them. Check your springs are within tolerance to and when doing up the spring retaining bolts be careful its only a low torque figure do not snap them.
  12. When you say manipulate the clutch lever do you mean you adjusted the clutch cable if so you have made the clutch slip. Put it back to before you adjusted it and see how it is.
  13. Is the bulb a combined rearlight/brake light and if yes have you put the bulb in wrong. This type of bulb has offset pins but it is still possible to force the bulb in wrong so the brake light is acting as the rear light. I find it amazing the amount of cars I see that have this type of bulbs fitted incorrectly.
  14. Check the inner valve is seated correctly and not leaking but if its leaking around the rim mark with a chalk at leak points then let the tyre down and push the bead in and see if there is any obstructions or old bits of rubber stuck to the rim in the marked places. Clean the inside edge with an old scouring pad then inflate and see if it holds pressure. Just as an aside how old is the tyre ? look for a 4 digit number in an oval on the side of the tyre. Has the bike been stood for years and it has been sat with a flat tyre and it may have deformed.
  15. Price is a bit steep I would of started it lower to tempt bidders in.
  16. Well I was surfing ebay and came across this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kawasaki-ER5-trials-green-lane-sidecar/333646468562?_trkparms=aid%3D777001%26algo%3DDISCO.FEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200211172457%26meid%3D75ec891b43dd456480edb493a9da6443%26pid%3D101213%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26mehot%3Dnone%26itm%3D333646468562%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26algv%3DRecommendingSearch%26brand%3D&_trksid=p2380057.c101213.m46344&_trkparms=pageci%3Af7c99e8b-c07a-11ea-85c9-74dbd1801d18%7Cparentrq%3A2a6a9acb1730ad4a6ba19ee2ffff65fe%7Ciid%3A1 I bet its a right laugh and you could have great fun for not a lot of dosh.
  17. If it was me I would buy a decent European brand tire and you would feel the difference straight away. If you can afford it get a pair and ditch the front to.
  18. Put it on the centre stand then if you want front wheel off the floor to drop the wheel out put a jack or similar under the exhausts engine area but spread the weight with a lump of wood. Make sure you are on good stable ground and you dont want anyone leaning on the bike or kids playing in the area while the front is stripped. Take plenty of pictures while you strip it for reference when you put it back together.
  19. The way the forks move in the clip im wondering is there any oil in the forks at all, there doesn't seem to be any damping. Give the forks a service that will give you a base to start from.
  20. Nailed in one! From an engineering or quality standpoint there is no justification in buying a Chinese motorcycle! It's no secret......it's all over the Net FFS! You may as well just flush your money down the shitter and cut out the middle man! From a moral standpoint.......only a complete c*nt would buy anything Chinese after what they've done. Hundreds of thousands of people are dead, economies are decimated, jobs are gone, homes are going to be lost, and the future looks bleak for many people. Of course, they still want you to buy their cheap shit as if nothing has happened! Worldwide, everybody needs to boycott their shit, and personally I'd like to see a ban on imported Chinese goods everywhere. Well said that man I couldn`t of put it better myself. I vote for Xtreme for President or if not perhaps Dictator.
  21. I wouldn`t buy anything chinese at the minute they have done enough damage to the world already without giving them your hard earned money for a pile of utter rusting before your eyes crap. Buy a VanVan every time but its a free world and its your money
  22. Thats a cracking bike Bob Ive always liked them.
  23. Worth checking with your insurance as this could be a notifiable modification.
  24. Is this one any good to you https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-Suzuki-RV-125-K3-van-van-fun-sand-bike-will-have-new-mot-1199-/254636919694?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
  25. All this chat about Dock Road, Canada Dock and Seaforth sea port brings back memories of the many hours i spent there trying to get loaded or not depending on how they felt on the day.
