  1. Keep calm and carry on.
  2. Looks like 1225.3 to me too.
  3. It's never going to be gone any more than flu or the common cold. We've got it forever. The Chinese gift that keeps on giving. Unlike their motorbikes.
  4. I used to call my oldest grandson Bacterial Bill on account of his plague spreading. His youngest cousin now has the mantle.
  5. Bloody hell that's pretty high handed. Just as well it doesn't apply to rural France as they'd all be walking.
  6. I had to go into the office in Clydebank immediately before flying out to join the ship. By the time I reached the Bahamas I felt like someone had beaten me all over. Felt utterly shite. Really struggled on the boarding ladder. Lasted for two weeks and then it set off my dodgy sinus so I felt like death warmed over for 3 weeks. Feel fine now but not my most pleasant few weeks. I was blaming the office but apparently my youngest grandson has been happily spreading some kind of plague around so it may have been his.
  7. Do tell please. Not being awkward just curious.
  8. My bike is free to enter. My son in law lives outside the ULEZ but works inside. His bike isn't free, not sure what it costs but it's a damn sight more than €4.60 !
  9. My wife and I had a 35 foot sail boat for 10 years and we sailed it all over the west coast of the UK and Ireland. Spent weeks at a time living on it but it was a money pit. Then grandkids arrived and wife became No.1 childminder so opportunity for sailing evaporated. Sold it and bought a Ducati instead. Still miss it a bit though.
  10. I've got a Crit'air and I seem to remember it cost me a dizzy €4.0. I had considered going to Strasbourg which requires one but in the event I didn't but for that small a pittance I don't have an issue. Compare to that thieving bast*rd Khan who expects £12.50 per day!
  11. Not OEM I assume?
  12. Scott waterproof jacket and trousers. Unlined and pack up to about a litre.
  13. I've got moulded Ultimate Ears and they work quite well unless they dislodge themselves. Also find disposables used on military ranges work quite well. Don't ask.
  14. Actually quite like visiting London although would hate to live there. My wife was there yesterday to go to the National Gallery (culture vulture that she is). Also ordered a new car which she won't get until November. Wouldn't choose to drive there though.
  15. The Italian immigration authorities in South East Sicily. I've got 3 guys I'm trying to get relieved but these bureaucratic fuckwits are closed from midday Saturday until Wednesday morning apart from 4 hours on a Monday when they deign to actually open. However they will only clear 6 people in that time so that's 3 relatively large ports where 6 men can get off. Total bullshit. I like Italy generally but their bureaucracy is more 3rd world than the 3rd world!
  16. Nothing like YouTube to make you an instant expert.
  17. Balmy weather in the Atlantic just east of the Azores. Not a drop of rain to be seen. Snigger.

    Yes!

Well done Rennie! As you are ex army I can't see the security clearance being an issue.
  19. Assuming you get ownership are you going to put it on a van to get home? Might be more easy on the nerves?
  20. I doubt our roads are any better than yours. My brother was visiting from Germany and he reckoned ours in the UK were worse than in Eastern Europe.
  21. We had a really good holiday in Galicia just over the border in June. Rest of Spain was boiling the hottest we saw was 24.
  22. Out IT project managers have been promising an all singing and dancing super duper new system for the last 2 years. Needless to say we are still using the old system.
  23. I know project managers are a plague but I'm confused about the pregnant ladies! I suppose it's a project that generally gets delivered more or less on time unlike most!
  24. I reckon some numpties don't know their left from their right so stick in the middle lane just in case.
  25. So ended up renewing with Bennetts for £51 more than last year; cost £320. Not cheap but given circumstances not too awful either. I did the compare market thing and had one quote about £15 less and all the others were more so......
