1. They do work on DC, the reg/rectifier converts the AC to DC and regulates the voltage to around 14 volts if you have to just rev the engine when stood still might be worth checking for a bad earth connection
2. watching some breakfast news, looking more likely that a complete lockdown will be implemented within the next 24hrs, all due to the incompetent ar*eholes gathering at the weekend
3. Will post this here, as good a place as any https://www.visordown.com/news/general/can-i-ride-my-motorcycle-during-coronavirus-lockdown
4. Going for a solo ride is one thing, but group gatherings should be avoided, they need their rides confiscated if they can't be trusted to be responsible people
5. just took her out for a blast down the road, much more responsive and no flat spots, can even get to lift the front wheel off the ground , next thing will be the forks and head bearings, not sure whether to get a seal kit or wait and see if it needs anything replacing, will probably get some fork oil for now and see how it goes
6. Took the carb off Bridget which was an absolute pain most of hose clips were rusted up and took ages to loosen them up, got the carb off and stripped it and cleaned it very little crap inside so that was a bonus, got it all back together and back on the bike runs great now and adjusted the tickover so is idling nicely, the test will be starting in the morning after a coldish night
7. WHAT!! £10 a packet?? Do people really pay that? When i quit a few years ago they were over £8 for 20, and most of that is duty, but far better off without them both financially and health wise
8. Even cheaper with fastbob ebay link, if you smoke that's only 40 fags, no hardship to quit for a day or two
9. A chain and sprocket set from wemoto will set you back £30ish, far better than trying to get something used that might not fit together, and most people change them because they are too worn to be used safely
10. Why worry about bog roll when you can waffle stomp
11. Alternatively don't be selfish and share it and pass it on to the morons that deserve to get it
12. The worst thing is going to be the wastage, all these idots panic buying will end up chucking away most of the stuff they bought as it won't get used, as they will still keep shopping as normal or buying more if they still can, just sheer lunacy
13. Just got back from Sainsburys and they will be stopping everyone before entry during the priority shopping hour, they will be asking for proof of elgibility and suffice to say even the NHS staff without anyform of ID will be refused, so i have just dug out my documents as a carer for my OH so all should be good, as i said before i hate having to to do stuff like this but needs must
14. As a member of the great unwashed biking fraternity i have no problem with keeping people out of odour range
15. or simply just carry on as normal, dog walking isn't what you would describe as a social activity, if no one else is about let it off the lead, if other people are about just run with it, or buy a skateboard and let it pull you
16. I will be out again today, taking advantage of the quieter roads and current dry weather
17. Take him shopping and get him to chase them with overloaded trollies
18. I think i can do better, the enviroment has been playing on mind lately so the next time i need some beans for the girls i will try some green ones, hopefully they will be more enviromentally friendly
19. At the same time though a shop has no legal obligation to sell anything to you at all
20. I'm down to 2 rolls then i'll be using the [strikeout]Blue[/strikeout]Bloo roll
21. I went shopping this morning all the shelves were virtually empty of tins, pasta, petfood and 1 packet of stuffing in the frozen section , if this keeps up i will have to go out and start shooting rabbits and pigeon and anything else that's edible just to feed the cats
22. Went out on Xena this afternoon had go pick up a prescription, then went for a ride to get some beans, the supermarket had sold out so i ended up going to the Forest of Beans, luckily there were a couple of young tins in the undergrowth so both Xena and Bridget have a small tin of beans each to keep them going The Forest of Beans. Duly collected ready to take home,
23. I wouldn't be overly concerned at people wanting photo opportunities with your bikes @dynax. Quite right! only reserved for very special people
24. What is it with some of these 'wits that think it's okay to touch anyone else's property, some people just need a good
