  4. After yesterdays problems with Xena's battery it's been on charge and thankfully the battery seems to be fine, took it off charge and is resting at 13v, put some drain on using lights and flashers dropped to 12.4/5 but once at rest came back to settle at 13v, that's good enough for me but will check again in a couple of hours, then i might have to go for a ride just to make sure the electrical system is good
  5. I have his channel bookmarked, and i practice some of those Manoeuvres when i am out, countersteering on bends and turns, haven't practiced any of the other stuff, but when i get the chance i am going to make some cones using potnoodle pots and set up a course to practice on
  6. I've got a MIVV double gun slip on waiting to be fitted when I can retrieve it from my daughter's place in Barnard Castle. Looks way better than the pretty ugly OEM. I think there is some bloke called Cummins doing collections and deliveries in the Barnards Castle area lol. Cheers Ian He is only doing essential optical equipment
  7. I would do a compression test, you may need to replace the piston rings or a complete piston set
  8. You do know that when you get cleaned up and working, she will have the perfect way of disposing of your body

  10. Oh God – the scuba forums. Then one day in early 2012, after years of diving, I was 30 metres down in a murky green lake with the icy water trickling down my spine from the worn-out neck seal of my dry suit when I had an epiphany: “I hate this. I hate everything about it. Why did I leave my little boy at home this morning for this? He just wanted to make Lego spaceships with me, and I left him in tears at the front door as I drove off. F*ck it – I’m bailing out and going home.” And I did. I went home, put every item of dive gear I owned on Ebay that very day and have never looked back. And with the money I raised I bought a gorgeous butterscotch blonde Fender P-bass and joined a bass-players forum. What a mistake that was… Should have bought more Lego
  11. I have a parasitic drain in the form of a clock which is on all the time plus my alarm which tends to go off when it's windy or loud noises like car exhausts, fireworks etc get a charger for it then and keep it on charge It's on
  12. Battery sounds shagged to me I have a parasitic drain in the form of a clock which is on all the time plus my alarm which tends to go off when it's windy or loud noises like car exhausts, fireworks etc
  13. Did my first bump start today , should have known really bike struggled to start this morning not had any long runs to give a good charge into the battery for a while, anyway went to first post office (local) only 1 or 8 day fishing licence, so went off to a main one about a mile away got my licence but bike wouldn't start, luckily a nice long flat road so ignition on into 1st and ran for a good 10 yards and popped it, result, fired into life so went straight home and put battery on charge, still need to go and get me some maggots but will go later this afternoon
  14. Diving forum, i bought an old diving suit and it leaks can i fix it with bathroom sealant
  15. I only went shopping on it today, but i did go to two different places one of which was Go Outdoors which is finally open, so i bought some fishing gear, got my two small poles some new elastic, also got some mackerel feathers, a small landing net for the silvers and a small tripod type folding stool, i can probably manage one night sea fishing trip every couple of weeks, and a couple of afternoons each week for some course fishing
  16. Will probably be cheaper to hire a van for a couple of days

  21. Tell or don't your company to get the cash upfront and at least 1.5 times what the job is worth, as it will end up at that and they stand very little chance of getting paid, i have known people who have done some work for them
  22. If you really want to give it a go, try one of these it is a compromise on size but will be adequate enough to cover a tank and suitable for use with most types of paint and lacquer, make sure you get a water trap for the compressor especially if using solvent based paints https://www.spraygunsdirect.co.uk/index.php/sprayguns-parts/mini-midi-sprayguns/volet-touch-up-gun-professional-series.html
  23. My local Go Outdoors has re-opened so will popping in there over the weekend
  24. Get a paraffin gun, works like a spray gun and great for chains as the pressure gets rid of all the crud
  25. cost wise rattle cans would be cheaper for short runs, when you factor in the cost of protective equipment as you would at least need to use a 2k lacquer for the tank to guard against petrol spillages, you could use a clear 2k rattle can but would still need a good respirator, paints are cheaper when bought in bulk, but shelf life is a problem if not used for any length of time, tbh unless you intend to do it as full on business rattle cans will almost certainly be cheaper for one off or small production runs, and rattle cans can be custom made to any colour now which does save the hassle of mixing it yourself, then there is the fact of very little clean up with cans as opposed to a gun, which will need a certain amout of clean up after every use
