They had a stand at Motorcycle live and seemed to be attracting a lot of interest. New bikes using heritage names such as Gold Star on display looked quite well finished but I am sure time will tell. Cheers Ian

Just got back and in all fairness it wasn`t bad, a few notable absences but overall well attended and they got you through the admissions process so quick it was easier than we anticipated. Got to sit on a lot of things I can`t afford and saw a lot of so called bargains that were anything but. Came away with 2 ground anchors that weighed a ton on the walk back to the parking area and got to chat with Lembit Opik on the M.A.G stand who was interesting and Nick Sanders on the Indian stand who came over as very chatty and enthusiastic which struck me as strange for a man who must spend hours in isolation in a crash helmet. Not sure about Steve Parish hosting video games on stage with volunteers but each to their own lol. Not the best show I have seen but a very welcome return to displaying new and restored stuff. Back end stripped ready to get swinging arm coated black like the previous one. Spent a long time considering if this was the right move. Later arm from injection model not sold in the UK but I want to get back to the way it was before. cheers Ian

Replacement top yokes with handlebar clamps that include rubber isolation blocks are available for a lot of bikes. I know for sure they are popular with KTM 600 owners so a KTM dealer may be able to point you in the direction of the right maker. Cheers Ian

Take a very good and long book to read while queuing to get out. Definitely one to go to by bike ! Incidentally the same applies to F1 if you ever want to go to that takes forever to empty Silverstone. Cheers Ian

The best thing about using old carpet on a garage floor is when (not if ) you drop some small essential part you can pick up the sides and let all the detrius collect in the middle for the examination and retrieval process. Don`t ask how I know. I tend to paint clean floors without the pva step first to get a good bond then go on the hunt for old carpet. Cheers Ian

@bonio is perfectly correct about the harpic but please ensure it is the max strength one in the black bottle ! Think yourself lucky you don`t own a 60`s Norton or Triumph or the tightly bending BMW flat twins as blue was definitely prevalent. Cheers Ian

How old was it and who did you buy it from? I tend to agree with your mechanic and hope you had some kind of warranty. On the upside if you own a boat you should have a spare anchor sometime soon. Cheers Ian

I am with @Mississippi Bullfrog and because of the diverse nature of the vehicles we use a joint cover with Gems was a good deal for us. Cheers Ian

This is why I suggested speaking to John Warrington in Malton as he has a dyno and can map and set up the bike to run correctly. I have no doubt boost plugs work for some but if you go to the trouble of having it set up correctly you potentially avoid disappointment. Oh and the tea ain`t bad. Cheers Ian
