  1. It makes some of the ugliest things look moderately normal so I suppose it has it`s place in the market. The soft spot I have for it would probably be Romney Marshes. Cheers Ian
  2. If it`s any help I will be going down the A34 from Bicester all the way to Stockbridge on Sunday morning passing Oxford at about 0800 if you wanted to meet and let me have a spin round the block ? Let me know if I can help but I warn you I won`t be able to spare a lot of time but if it has issues I am hopeful I will be able to tell you swiftly and give you more to get on with. Or if it`s ok maybe give you a little reassurance to try the good advice already given by others on here. Cheers Ian
  3. Good luck and keep us informed if he can help as our experiences help others. Cheers Ian
  4. I am going to concur with @fastbob and most of my bikes now and for the forseeable future are more than 5 years old so I will continue to play about with them and use sympathetic MOT stations. Might even put the supercharged Busa back on the road just to give Greta a stroke ! Cheers Ian
  5. Hi Crozzy Are you anywhere near York? I have heard very good things about John Warrington in Malton. Not just power hunting but understanding mapping. Maybe worth a chat. Cheers Ian
  6. Totally agree with you my ZRX (carbed) and Busa (EFI) were both laid up for 12 months with E5 in and both are running fine now, and that was in an unheated garage with no periodic start ups which is normal practise. Cheers Ian
  7. Thats a very fat rear on an equally fat front ! Maybe @Bender can wrap it in bacon. Certainly visually challenged at the least. Cheers Ian
  8. Still working single handedly to empty that ! Cheers Ian (Hic!)
  9. Stick me down for at least 50 just freeze them and I will bring a cool bag and collect. Another job I don`t have to do. Cheers Ian
  10. Almost identical to mine in Sept 79 round the block in Wallington in Surrey on a GT185 then next day on a Z650 ! yes those were the days and £7.50 to boot lol. I do feel a lot of sympathy for those trying to qualify these days overcharged and obviously inconvienienced all because the government don`t want us but can only discourage by overcharging and overcomplicating the whole process. Obviously this applies to those who want to upgrade and enjoy motorcycling and yet the system seems to favour people who just want to pootle around on scooters delivering pizza etc and generally dragging us all into even more disrepute as if we need it. Rant over lol. Cheers Ian
  11. Whilst I wholeheartedly agree with you I wish you luck in getting that crap to burn lol. I am looking forward to some of them getting battered and noone having any dashcam footage. I recall a rant last week from one poor sod who had to go round the M25 repeatedly for dialysis treatment these people don`t consider all the different types of journeys people make. Cheers Ian
  12. Good find sir ! Cheers Ian
  13. Wait till you get your Dyna then they have 2 ruddy fuel gauges one conventional in the tank and one electronic with range estimate on the dash presumably both taking up space in the tank lol. Admittedly Dyna tank on the 1584cc is larger I believe. Cheers Ian
  14. Mind you if they had a sensible size tank you could actually get enough fuel in to actually complete a journey. These days you feel cheated at a BP garage because you can`t squeeze in the mandated personal allowance of £30 lol. Cheers Ian
  15. Bet your mum tied your mittens to a long bit of string through your duffel coat when you were a kid then ? I have to confess mine did lol. Cheers Ian
  16. I know it`s wrong but that gives me a warm tingly feeling ! Cheers Ian
  17. It`s moronic and so bloody common and it boils my p*ss. I think it is the antithesis of the nice guys that move over to give us room. Cheers Ian
  18. Don`t get me started on cnuts who decide to wash their windscreen when I pull in behind them on a bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Castration and public flogging wouldn`t be enough to stop me raging! The BMW 1 series owner on the A34 the other day can count himself lucky to just need a new wing mirror lol. Cheers Ian
  19. Can I order a Diavel as I quite fancy trying one. Cheers Ian
  20. I like the American one for IOWA Idiots, Out, Wandering, About. A chap I knew who moved to the states said it is largely true but I have no experience to confirm or argue. Cheers Ian
  21. Shame it has gone I believe. I only found out recently and I was never a regular but I did like the place I must admit. Especially the till that said kangaroo p*ss if they rang in a fosters for someone. Cheers Ian
  22. Shame you couldn`t have got that speed past the King Billy I am sure you would have got a round of applause lol. Cheers Ian
  23. Running it that way could be artificially rich enough to cause the effect I suppose but not sure. Yes it`s all good fun and I look forward to learning what the cause was. Cheers Ian
  24. Hi Bob In the morning I would start with the kettle and thermostat test. Did the fan kick in as after all you weren`t benefiting from any airflow over the rad/engine. I am sure the timing is right but a check of the advance mechanism wouldn1t hurt. Be interested to see how it turns out. Cheers Ian
  25. Fair play to any group enjoying the scenery but I fear some of the more slope browed people of that continent making "Dykes on bikes comments". Mind you the long mileages in that scenery certainly appeal to me. Cheers Ian
