  1. Fair point I hadn`t considered and I am building in a hard water area which wont help lol. Black is so lovely when spotless and such a bitch to keep that way. Cheers Ian
  2. Don`t get me started I am currently building a 4.1 million quid home for a guy ! In all fairness he is very nice and lives next door to site but I cant help thinking of the vultures in the jungle book every time he speaks to the designers ! His wife asked what would happen if I as a site manager was in a meeting with them and the designers, I laughed and said it wouldn`t end well lol. £400 for a black basin trap ffs !!!!! Cheers Ian
  3. Just for a laugh I can remember....... Kangol Agordo (Paddy Hopkirk) Bell star 2 Porshe (Worth googling lol internal visor and probably illegal if I remember correct) Early Shark (1986) Arai (blue white and black replica of someone I have forgotten) Craft (Carbon look alike Simpson clone) Bandit (as above lol) HJC RPHA HJC H70 Carbon (Current lid with Sena comms 20B) Various cheap odds and sods especially when despatch riding in the early 80`s as well, list covers 1978 to now so I dare say some missing but not many. I only miss the Porshe and the Bell probably just rose tinted glasses though. Cheers Ian
  4. Can`t help feeling with the benefit of a crash helmet on a gentle Glasgow kiss would have been appropriate ! Cheers Ian

  8. Just a thought ! Have you looked at Airbnb? I used them for self contained accom over new year and had no issues. At the time I was surprised but as it suited me I kept schtum and carried on. Cheers Ian
  9. I do hear that special government "holiday" camps are being considered for those fortunate star wearers! Cheers Ian
  10. You weren`t heading along the A6116 near Corby about 2.15 were you? Cheers Ian
  11. DON`T say things like that you will make him sensitive !!! Cheers Ian
  12. I am also very confused as to what is going on with what is essentially a simple system. May I ask if you have tried putting the bike in gear and pulling the clutch lever in while being pushed along? Forget starting the engine for the moment let`s try and establish if the mechanism is functioning. If this can be done I would start to look at stand switches etc and if not I would suggest the clutch itself. @fastbob please tell me if you can think of a simpler way? Cheers Ian
  13. His nearest neighbour on here is probably @dynax he seems a sensible chap. Cheers Ian
  14. Prior to getting the Sena that is designed to fit my HJC lid I bought a pair of Lexin LX-B4FM and although they were cheap compared to the Sena/Cardo type units I can`t really fault them and my other half still uses hers and it pairs with my new set up perfectly. Good battery life and it announces how much charge is left when you turn it on which I find a nice little feature. Cheers Ian
  15. Wouldn`t you ? Cheers Ian
  16. I also like the attitude that tweed and presumably brown brogues are perfectly acceptable for a charity ride. I am sure they are the sort that tut into their latte when discussing people not wearing CE approved protective apparel lol. After all noone ever got injured falling off when riding in convoy with other like minded souls (soles?) Cheers Ian
  17. Don`t think or want to grow a beard in the time left to get ready, much less oil it like some hip tosser ! Admire charitable things in general but feel this is a step too far. Bound to be popular down at the bike shed lol Cheers Ian
  18. to the world,” said Prof A Lilo of green lobby group Are Friends Electric? Shame they made it too easy to spot lol. Cheers Ian
  19. Apart from the cast wheels that looks almost identical. I wonder how many differences there are? Cheers Ian
  20. Sorry mate I didn`t realise ! I have slowly come to love Dyna but I am a late convert to 45 degree Vtwins having grown up with early Desmos. We should meet for a coffee and you can try her if you like? Cheers Ian
  21. You have a Chinese bike ! Fook if he needs security we are all in trouble. Cheers Ian
  22. "I like to ride all year round" Owner of the most immaculate 78 Honda 400/4 you have ever seen. Unfortunately a resident of a small village in rural North Beds and 5 bikers in the village didn`t even realise he owned a bike despite seeing him in village pub, hall etc. Cheers Ian
  23. Far more in depth than I bother with especially as the horn is in a different place on my Dyna to where it is on the Busa or ZRX ! Good job she has very loud pipes it`s easier than searching for the button. Cheers Ian
  24. Oh yes another photographic disaster! Either that or that poor little Kawasaki is being crushed. Maybe not relevant to us yet but you never know. Cheers Ian
  25. Well done on the pass. However with the amount of experience you have can you imagine the stick you would have got lol. Cheers Ian
