  1. I used to have heavy duty painkillers for my joints and arthritis. Found out that my GP was an idiot and all I needed was a daily dose of 375mg of magnesium and a top up with paracetamol when it gets a bit worse. On both bikes I fitted some 2cm gel pads and the 70 miles numbness become 130 miles
  2. Good morning everybody An interesting concept in the news today. The main problem of film industry (and similarly many other industries) is that they have grown too much for their own good. According to a film specialist, there are too many films and still too many movie theaters. People have become tired of same thing over and over where the only change is what you're looking at for 1,5 hours. I think this applies to many other. Take restaurants for example, how often you see a menu being renewed? or even the decoration revamped. With money shrinking on a daily basis we have to make decisions on spending that obviously doesn't please "leisure industry" Time is changing...
  3. I'll be using mine during my trip to Croatia next month. Hopefully will be able to add some more info on this.
  4. Just got the email confirming the application for the NHS card is approved and will be sent by post. Also the email with the booking for the ferry.
  5. Had my next door neighbor flying one of those mechanical midges over the house and garden. Funny enough after I show him the finger (Mr. Bean style) the drone never show up again.
  6. How about that? A musical drone
  7. Unfortunately QDOS doesn't do EU cover or older bikes.
  8. Well... Glad I have check. And as a warning to other fellow riders, STAY AWAY from OneCall. They are a bunch of phoking crooks lying B@stards. The EU cover I thought I had after all I don't. The guy on the phone assured me that it was the default cover and I found out the default is a pile of poo As result an extra £230 for proper breakdown cover for both bikes. As personal policy. On the bright side I've just boked the ferry to and from Hull camping site is oliviagreencamping.com just on the Med sea. NHS card in order, Sainsbury's money card ready to be loaded with €'s One of the must go places will be the http://nationalpark-una.ba/en/ Apparently a gem in the country and the roads around look proper bike roads. Other places to visit but I haven't got info on them.

    Second attempt .

I'm with @manxie49 on the NC500 Most of it is ruined by the amount of idiots going on it and councils haven't repaired/maintained the tarmac so expect lots of potholes. The most important item you will need will be the smidge for the wee pesties. If you go up to Durness maybe you want to have a wee break at the Smoo cave between Durness and Sangobeg. If your thing you can also have a go at Golden Eagle Zip Line in Durness Golden Eagle Zipline (durnesszipline.com)
  15. I'll nominate myself (again) Dropped the kitchen roll. Bounced on my foot (for some reason I thought was a good idea to kick it), across the kitchen floor, hit the door frame and run away into the corridor ending at the front door. Glad the door was closed, still half of the roll laying on the floor. The cat was looking at me like "If it was me..."
  16. If you have drying facilities or can get more than 1 bag I would go for a fairly good quality one and a inner garden bin bag for the waterproof side. Waterproof fabric needs redone once in a while. a plastic bin bag can easily be replaced.
  17. Good morning everybody. Getting close to the weekend My kind of "relaxed" watch Slow Round 14 - slow watches (slow-watches.com)

    Hello to all!

Welcome and I hope you enjoy riding in Spain. The roads are probably the best in Europe and weather is generally good. France is ok if you don't take in consideration the tendency to copy british eternal roadworks... Shame it's full of french people...
  20. They deal with it. You will have to pay import tax on anything over £135 (or thereabout)
  21. Makes you wonder if she's wearing the kilt properly...
