I’m daily in a different type of isolation ... driving .... driving ... Rotherham to Newcastle and back today .... i’d love to be at home ... doing stuff ... i’m jealous ......

I have been luck enough to marry a serial decorator ... she papers .. brilliantly ... loves doing gloss work ... all i have to do is the ceilings and the doors ... ( and i take the doors off and do them with a roller laid flat ... ) ... and most important of all ... supply coffee and hot food as required .... Result !

We don’t keep tomatoes in the fridge ... in the fruit bowl with the bananas .. that way you actually get to eat ripe tasty fruit rather than the tasteless marbles straight from Spain .... Choco always in the fridge ... top shelf in the door where the kids cannot reach it ..

Out of the blue we had a phone call last Thursday evening, the 7th, from the dentists. "The children are due a check up” .. ok ... "Julie is due a check up “ ... ok ... Julie said .. "David used to be registered with you but has not been for years ... “ .. no problem ... So i got to go to the Dentist ...... Why did Boris close the golf courses ? To get the dentists back to work ...... !! Our dentist has been closed since the 23rd March 2020 ... now they seem to desperate to get some bums on seats ....

I went to the dentists yesterday. First time in 3 years .... 2 of my lower r/h rear teeth broke up in April 2020 ... no dentists available so i sorted it myself . I was expecting a fortune for the work ... He took one of the broken teeth out ... and i have to go back for 3 fillings .....£65 ... and a deep polish and clean ..£23 ... Result .......

Julie has 2 excellent pairs of reading glasses, one sunglasses, and a pair of vari- focals from a company in Dinnington South Yorks for £33.80 ... not per pair .. all 3 .. I have a pair of vari-focals from ebay ... £8.99 ... if i break them so what ... Yes, made in China ... but so’s your iPhone ...

Super Chippy ... Hornsea , just by the start of the TPT ... Portion of fish and chips, feeds 2 adults ...£3.80 .... read it and weep southerners ......

Fish mix up at our local chippie , the "Codfather" .... Tray of chips, fish, battered small sausage and either peas, beans or curry sauce in a separate container. £4.30 ... one of these feeds julie and I .. 2 of them is dinner for 2 adults and 3 children .... and its a great chippie .. We order and pay in advance and pick up at the arranged time .... We used to live between St. Andrews and Dundee at Leuchars. The village chippie did half a pizza dipped in batter and deep fried .. after 3-4 pints of Heavy it tasted great ... but white pudding in batter was my favourite ...

Iv'e just been out to mine, taken the cover off (it lives outdoors) stroked it and put the cover back on ... help !!!

Mallory park, 5-6 years ago, Festival of 1000 Bikes. Big BMW Adventure bike firmly stuck in the mud, rear wheel up to its axle in mud ... his mate ... on a ZX10 ! riding round taking the mick, the super wide tyre of the ZX10 preventing him sinking in the mud ... We turned up in the Isuzu pick up truck and towed the BMW out ....

Came with the alloys ... all the vans the dealer sells have them fitted .....

This my transit 9 seat mini bus .... when bought just over 12 months ago it was £15,000 with 15,000 miles on it .... low emission, saves money if in London. And great for separating the 4 children on long trips ...... Takes about 5 minutes for 2 people to take all the seats out giving a lot of load space for just about any bike. It's faultless ....

Thats pretty much how we used to be ... before, suddenly, without warning ..... we had 4 children ..... now the money just drains through the colander on a daily basis ...

Julie manages to carry 3 children and herself and the shopping about in hers ,,, dont get an auto !!!

I think there's a lot of macho Sh1t around adventure bikes ... the vast majority of them only go off road if they crash .. "Look at my big bike" syndrome .... Though my little Himma never goes off road either but i don't dress and behave like i'm on the "Long Way Down " every time i go to the shops ... Africa Twins are nice .... And the new Suzi 650 ...

Pretty much .... got a better deal 2nd time round ...... but there was always the offer to just accept the situation and enjoy .... but i wasn't mature enough to go down that road ... i was only 30 ............
