  1. If you check out the web site you can see It has it's own wind shield as part of the package ... i'm a fan of meths .... a full burner will boil 4 pints of water .... one pint at a time of course ...
  2. The battery on our Transit mini bus is under a panel beneath the drivers seat ... it's huge due to the auto / stop start facility.... but under the bonnet is a small red plastic hatch which gives a positive connection for jumpstarting other vehicles ... what a good idea ... to change the battery all I have to do is remove the drivers seat, take out 18 bolts / screws and hire a small crane to lift the battery out !!!
  3. Trangia ... It is the way .... https://trangia.se/en/ Mines 38 years old now and till in monthly use for brews and picnics and camping 2-3 weeks a year ... easy to convert to gas with a small coleman but equally just great with meths.
  4. Happy new year to you all ... lets hope for a considerably less interesting year in 2021 ........
  5. Capital punishment ... was so desired by Irish terrorists that when the couldn't get it by the most horrific of acts they would starve themselves to death .... The death wish walk amongst us ... But on a happier note ..... the kids are back at school next week
  6. Both our ovens are hard wired into the domestic 35 amp supply ..... and we have a gas hob ...
  7. We import 80% of our core product, add value, and export about 25 % .... it's not going to bother us in the slightest ..... thats my company not the UK you understand .....
  8. It's inside .... why does it need a cover ..... My bike lives outside all year round in a great £40 Oxford fleece lined cover ... ok i bought it second hand off ebay ... I have a battery heater i use on the coldest of days to help with starting and a policy of riding at least 10 miles before effecting a re-start ...
  9. Me and my team like Super Sausage ... we stop there for brekkie on our way to hit trains with hammers in Bletchley ....

  11. A muzzle .... you first ... best of luck .... been there ... spectacular fail ..... 10kg Westie 1 ... 3 adults 0 .... that's the Highland League and Shinty results for today ....
  12. I think the majority of people see dog ownership as walks and rough and tumble fun moments .... it's not. You are entering into possibly 15 years of Sh1t Management, cleaning it up, not standing in it, hosing it away, throwing it into the second home owners garden next door ...etc
  13. I have .. twice, proper through the flesh to the bone bites ... by our lovely Westie, at the vets ... he's terrified of the vets ... and like most Westie males he thinks he's a wolf !! Covered the walls in a spray of my blood last time ... Such a gentle dog ... until he's at the vets ....
  14. We've been married 14 years but together as a couple for 32 ... it's not easy to forget the wedding anniversary .... It's Valentines Day .... so i have to buy 2 cards ....
  15. Connor and I had a day out yesterday ..... 0700hrs drive to work in Chesterfield, collect spare control computer for stranded Stoneblower in Lanark.... Drive to Lanark and hand over parts to technician at sidings ... Then the interesting bit ... stop 6 miles south of Lanark and pick up Ultimaker 2+ 3d printer Connor had bought then drive to Preston and collect bike I had bought ...... 461 miles and 8 hours ...... Nice day out ...
  16. I used to own Fell ponies .... this is Davids Horse Ownership Simulator for those that would like to try horse ownership; Stand naked on top of a hill in pouring rain, in winter, drop house bricks on your feet while setting fire to £20 notes. That just about sums it up !
  17. And after each lockdown the R number, and infections got higher and higher and higher ... so, erm, like, you are erm, like wrong and stuff. And today we've seen huge crowds going shopping ... Really !!
  18. Tier 1 .... makes no difference. Tier 2 .... makes no difference. Tier 3 .... makes no difference. Tier 4 .... makes no difference. Lockdown 1 .... makes no difference. Firebreak .... makes no difference. Lockdown 2 .... makes no difference. Close the Scots and Welsh Borders .... makes no difference. Masks, School closures, destruction of hospitality, industry destroyed ... makes no difference. And breath .... We're off to Glasgow in the morning ... Tier 3 to Tier 2 then Tier 4 then "Tier Scotland "....
  19. You can purchase a water soluble adhesive that you dissolve in a container and dunk your model into and it glues it all together ... we used it for our Falcon ... apparently if you want to dismantle all you have to do is leave it overnight in a bath of warm water and it comes apart again ... haven't tried the latter but it certainly works ... we bought it from a model engineering show in Shipley ...
  20. I always plan my routes via A roads and avoid motorways wherever possible on the Himma ... as you say, it can do 80 but is a lot happier plodding along between 60 - 70 .... One motor way trip from Sheffield to Dartford (M1 / M25) used a fair bit of oil ... But it's a big clunky single so no surprise.
  21. We're off to Hornsea for the same .... chips, fish and frost bite ...
  22. Sorry to be pedantic but ....... Read your own post, the shortest day is the end of Autumn and the start of Winter .... not the middle of winter !! As the longest day is the end of Spring and the start of summer .... not Midsummer AAAGGGHHH!
  23. Hardly "Midwinter" James .... winter only started 5 days ago .... Midwinter is February the 5th .... Pedants of the world unite ! .
  24. Assuming you mean C-19 ... it will never disappear ... it's walks amongst us .. and like that annual mega killer, influenza, it will not go away .. So plan your life accordingly ... like we do ...
