I had to ride my K1200RS up a plank into a fully loaded removal van. Even trickier was rolling it backwards down the ramp afterwards! Tying it down was the least of my problems.

That toggles between CANbus mode and normal depending on the Optimate model but you need to turn the power on WHILE the leads are shorted.

I would suggest the BMW RT rather than the GS. Having ridden the GS/R/RS and RT and owned the R and now RT I can never understand the popularity of the GS.
