My last morning off and then I'm covering holidays

Spent the morning playing around in the shed, tidying, sorting etc. Weather feels nice enough now to spend time in there without coat and gloves

I know I found it very amusing that my brother in law's car passed its MOT a couple of times despite having no reverse gear. He just had to warn the garage before hand so they didn't get it stuck

I cant speak for what happened with Police but do know that it was on that roundabout by Boroughbridge 5 years ago my wife got 3 points for going 37 in a 30!! She didn't know it had been changed, as it was always a 40 before that

I watched the guy from the youtube channel mymechanics do the blowtorch trick to restore a black plastic lever. Looked great when he did it. Didn't work out when I tried similar. But then, he is a Swiss Machinist and I am a cack handed impatient monkey

I've just spent two hours on the phone with a mortgage advisor. Feel like I've lost the will to live after going through their questions " what would you do if you lost your job? " I would get another job "what would happen if you couldn't get another job? " I would use my savings and my Wife's income until I could find another "But what if you never found another job?" I'd buy a shotgun and rob a mortgage company He actually found that a lot funnier than my Wife did

Yorkshire gold for me I like most teas, green, black or red. I found the hard way if I drink too much earl grey it keeps me awake all night with heartburn. Wasn't an issue a few years ago, must be getting older

Wife really wanted to travel to banff while we were over there but I didn't fancy messing about with yet more travel. We are only going for 12 nights and didn't want to spend it all in airports!!

@Yorkshire_teapot You just print (or draw/make) your own Some people like to make theirs look good like this....... Whereas some are more concerned that you notice their bike badge first before the Challenge number .........

@Fish Whereabouts in Canada are you off to? I'm going at the end of May, Toronto for a few days then travelling to Winnipeg to stay with my Brother. 3rd time lucky I hope. was originally meant to go in 2020 and then it was cancelled again last year.

@onesea I am purposely keeping my list hidden from the Wife as I'm terrified to even imagine how long it would become!!

The other night I decided to write out a task list of all the little jobs around the house that need doing. I find having it written down keeps my brain a bit calmer as I'm not stressing trying to remember it all By the time I'd finished writing it I had 53 things written down Some of it is quick five minute jobs like fix the handle on bedroom drawer, others are a bit more time consuming like putting a new roof on the shed. Think I'll start with the simple ones first
