GSXRs are great bikes, if youre in the market for a sportsbike you can't go far wrong with a gixxer! Fun to ride, comfy too and cheap to run. If you liked it, buy it!

Four owners, only 3.8k miles?? That's not normal... As stu says, might be an Ex-track bike, reassembled for its MOT, hence the failure for lights as track bikes don't have lights... But having said that, I'd still go view it. Looks nice and cheap to replace any parts that need replacing. Own it for a while, put some miles on it and then the millage won't look so suspicious, sell for the same money next year. Edit..it's a business seller so you get additional legal rights. Also they have a K7 750 with 4k miles on... worth a look at that too. But why did they have two really low mileage gsxrs?

heated gloves vs grips
Joeman replied to lyncho1983's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I read something somewhere, or I might have imagined it, that said that if you can heat your wrists up, because the blood is quite close to the surface, it achieves the same as heating your hands. So if you could wear heated wristbands, the blood flowing to your fingers would be warm... No idea if that's true or not! -

Don't bother, learn to ride full size bikes otherwise you'll be restricted to lowered bikes.

While reading an article about fathers and sons drinking together, I remembered the time I took my daughter out for her first drink. Off we went to our local bar only two blocks from the house. I got her a Guinness. She didn't like it, so I drank it. Then I got her a Killian's she didn't like that either, so I drank it. Finally, I thought she might like some Harp Lager? She didn't. I drank it. I thought maybe she'd like whisky better than beer so we tried a Jameson's; nope! In desperation, I had her try that 25 year old Glenfidich. The bar's finest scotch. She wouldn't even smell it. What could I do but drink it! By the time I realized she just didn't like to drink, I was so shit-faced I could hardly push her stroller back home!!!

Honda CG 125 reverse gearbox
Joeman replied to Rory90's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
It's race shift like the GP bikes. Faster than standard CG125 Didn't know that, thanks. was joking.. but "race-shift" or "GP-Shift" is a real thing.. https://www.sportrider.com/should-you-reverse-your-shift-pattern-riding-skills-series -
Honda CG 125 reverse gearbox
Joeman replied to Rory90's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
Well its a reincarnation of the original style CG so why reverse the gearbox ? Perverse behavior on the part of Honda. It's race shift like the GP bikes. Faster than standard CG125 -

Use a brick to hold it open? Or tie a bit of string to the door so you can hold it open as you push the bike through and gently release the string to let it close (assuming it's spring loaded) It's her problem, not yours. So long as you do everything you can to avoid it slamming she has nothing to complain about. I certainly wouldn't be leaving it out on the street just because of her!

easily done too on the S1000RR.. just need to wire a switch to open/close the valve...

Mine (2013 model) didnt with the standard exhaust but the 2015 models pop nicely when slowing down. no flames though - not good for health and safety i guess! With the full exhaust mine was crazy - loud pops, huge flames, really entertaining but not practical so i had to block off the air supply to stop the air getting into the exhaust. But, there is a solenoid in there. my idea is to have it switchable, so i can flick a switch and go from mildly antisocial, to flame spitting monster!

Poor Hitler.. he might have started a global war and killed a few too many Jews, but he was still a person, and we shouldn't celebrate his death... Said nobody, ever... Drug dealers are scum. They don't care about the people they kill, families they wreck, or the people exploited in the drug industry. That's why most people have zero sympathy and would rather they were eradicated than left on the street or locked up at the tax payers expense. And sure his parents might be a bit upset, but probably more due to the loss of income than because he was a good son.

Smart business sense. They send out a few thousands letters and if nobody says they aren't attending they can invoice the government for every letter they sent out as the assumption is they will be attending so they have to have provision for every patient they contacted... And of course many will simply ignore the letter.. ca-ching!

Almost like the surgery gets paid per patient they see... So getting loads of people in for 2min slots earns them a chunk of cash and makes their stats look good... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/01/27/no-146-per-patient-not-enough-time-gps-charge-fees/
