Hoggs Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Just heard she sadly passed away. What a horrific thing to happen Bloody media scum though. Sure they'll be blaming forrins soon Quote
NeilM Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016 Its really weird here at the moment. It's like an eerie sort of silence. Even the cars are driving slower. We saw all the unmarked police cars etc going breakneck speed so we knew something was serious. Never think eh.And yes of course I did vote for her. But she was an active MP in the community. Showing up at school achievement nights etc. (Grace met her last month)Proper sad here. It seems like we all are. Quote
Hoggs Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Yeah seems she was one of the ones who actually gave a shit. Quote
numptyspence Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Yeah seems she was one of the ones who actually gave a shit. Arn't they the ones that go first ? Very sad news Quote
NeilM Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016 Just filled up after hearing what her husband has just released as a statement. Google it. Quote

Guest Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 How many other deranged lunatics are running round with guns there? They gotta be arming the Police at all times surely? Quote
Tiggie Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Just filled up after hearing what her husband has just released as a statement. Google it. I really don't know if I could of used those words in his position, much respect to him. Quote
Joe85 Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 How many other deranged lunatics are running round with guns there? They gotta be arming the Police at all times surely? Not in my opinion. Unless the Police were on scene when it happened then what difference would it have made? RIP Jo. Quote
Six30 Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 How many other deranged lunatics are running round with guns there? They gotta be arming the Police at all times surely? It's the result of shutting down all the nut houses, loons left to live in society self medicating instead of being securely locked up. Quote
Gin Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 What a horrific thing to happen.. All thoughts with her family and friends Of all the political replies, though I thought our PMs official reply was a bit generic, it was Hillary Clinton who's irritated me: Pandering politician just trying to secure more votes. Joeman Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I get the feeling many people aren't taking the referendum too seriously, but here we have someone who's literally died for what she believe in. Quote
Gin Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I get the feeling many people aren't taking the referendum too seriously, but here we have someone who's literally died for what she believe in. ... The fact that the person (Loathed to use that word) who did this was screaming "Britain first" is sickening to me.. This is such a vile thing to happen, I can't even imagine how she must have felt as she realised what was happening to her.. Just hope her family are as well as they can possibly be at the moment.. MarkW Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Nice piece from Peter Gabriel on my FB feed about his time with her on a leadership camp. Seems everyone she came into contact with was very taken with her. Quote
NeilM Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 I think it shows the respect she held by the turn out from parliament today. From all sides of the divide. Respect evidently was shown to them too from the local community. I have been working on days but lisa has been about. To be honest I think it's the only time a serving tory PM would have got that respect here.Shows how we are all feeling. Quote
rennie Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I've got tears in my eyes from watching ITV news tonight!pleased to see all sections of her community coming together, lets hope something good and lasting can come out of this terrible thing! pleased to see that EU in/out campaigning has been postponed for now. The Hitcher Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Sounds like she was a decent MP, one of the rare ones, I don't get why some nut job would do this to a pretty inoffensive, decent MP, who obviously cared about her constituency. It's her kids I feel really sorry for. Quote
