skyrider Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 once went into a pub in peel (iom) and ordered fish and chips and when it came it was more like whale and chips the fish was nearly hanging over the table, not complaining though it was excellent Quote
Guest Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Mahi mahi is served as fish and chips in other countries. It is often known as dolphin fish. Quote

Gerontious Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 I must admit to being partial to a pukka snake and pigmie pie with me chips. Just have to be careful of them nose bones. Nothing worse than a pigmie that’s not been boned proper like. Quote
skyrider Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 a gorilla of a farmer went into a fancy restaurant and ordered a steak the waiter asked how he would like his steak right said the farmer just rip it's horns off an wipe its a**e (and that's typical of the young farmers around our way ) true story Quote

The Barm, or Batch as we would say in Coventry, is an ideal way to hold the hot pie in the street if you haven't got any chips to rest it on . Seems entirely practical to me . Quote
S-Westerly Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 I have on occasion been accused of having a big mouth but even at my finest I can't see myself managing to get my jaws around a Bap and a pie at the same time. It will end in tears, or at least gravy all over my shirt. Quote
