Trooper74 Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 I’m bored at work today to be honest ... we’re in a “phoney war” period before 5 major projects kick off ...So ... catching up with work admin, training and recruitment .... Enjoying the calm before the storm ... Quote

husoi Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 I've suggested a solution for the lack of skilled labour in the UK... But do they listen? Of course not... My solution: Invite Poland, Romania and Bulgaria to leave the EU as UK did (they are dying to leave). Then invite those countries to become part of the UK. That not only wind up the EU but will solve the problem with recruitment 4 Quote

But the last chap who had the idea of 'inviting' those countries to become part of a larger national identity ended up causing rather a lot of bother. 2 2 Quote

I'm just suggesting a solution for maintaining the Empire With Scotland leaving soon you lot will end up with just Wales. NI will follow the Scots and join RoI.. 1 Quote

Covid has not impacted our operations at all, keeping up with all the different rail depots requirements took a while but sorted months ago. Working hours are tightly legislated and monitored iaw Railway Group Standards. It’s a good place to be at the moment.... we’re buried in work for the foreseeable future. Quote

You cant even warm a pie up at work, thats the problem with induction furnaces .... we had gas fired walking beam furnaces at my steel works ... speed up the walk, put pies on the entry ... recover perfectly cooked pies before they fell into the quench ,,,, lovely We have full English brekkie for Sunday dinner .... and a small roast mid week when the girls are with us .... they go to Uncle johns Saturday and Sunday now .... gives us a bit of a break .... But Riley (3), comes Saturday morning until Sunday morning ..so break is probably the wrong word ... Edited February 7, 2021 by Trooper74 1 Quote
dynax Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 We're having roast chicken today and as me and Andrea only have the breast meat, the cats have the rest and they usually end up having more than what we do Quote
Tiggie Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 My Cat is a spoiled little sh*t who only likes the breast Quote

Slowlycatchymonkey Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Fancier than toad in the hole though! But then food cooked by someone else always has the edge- even if not on taste 2 Quote
dynax Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 I must have bought a slightly bigger chicken than normal as the cats also had a decent amount of breast meat 1 Quote
