New Commuter Jacket?

I'm looking at getting a new jacket for my daily commute and Id like something that doesn't scream motorcycle jacket when walking around. 

 

It needs to have some protection, be waterproof and possibly a removable thermal lining. Also I'd like to keep it under £150 and well under that if possible.

 

I like the look of the 2 I've linked below. I don't know how Frank Thomas stuff stands up to rain. The Oxford jacket is laminated which is nice but only has an A rating against the AA of the FT jacket and also has no thermal liner.

Any experience of these two jackets or is there another I should consider?

I have never owned any of the ones you have mentioned. I did purchase one of these for Spring/Autumn commuting to work Richa Atomic Textile Jacket - Black - FREE UK DELIVERY (sportsbikeshop.co.uk) 

I've yet to come across an Oxford waterproof garment.

It's not a bad option but for a daily commute I think having something waterproof is necessary.

I tend towards buying the best second hand thing I can on EBay. Has worked for past couple of jackets.

What about something that looks more casual biker? 
 

I like my commuter jacket longer can help with rain and storage.

This was one of the potential jackets I looked at. 

 

I ended up splashing out more than I wanted but I wanted to give a laminated jacket a try.

Now you just need the bike to match... and then copy the image by riding to the Dolomites. (Passo Giau)

If I was living in England charity shops would be the first place I would look for a 1st jacket.

Last week bought a great pair of rain trousers with warm inside for £8 in Plymouth.

Shame that when anything shows up in Scotland is well worn and old.

Great looking bike I have a adventure sports model on order took the plunge on a trade in. They are just like hen's teeth to get hold of though!
