Gerontious Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Might be seeing it again in June, which will be exceptionally weird. Funny thing is it actually looks small when parked next to the Africa Twin. its only when the Twin is parked next to a more modern GS, (Pauls) that it actually looks small (ish). 1 Quote

S-Westerly Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 (edited) Not quite a layby and no comparison to some of the pics on the thread but a couple from South Shields this afternoon having completed my last ever refresher training. Edited November 17, 2021 by S-Westerly 3 Quote

Will get back there at some point. My daughter worked in Switzerland for six months in 2019 so I went to visit her several times while she was there. Once I went via Northern Italy and had two days of heavy rain and zero visibility, the first when crossing the Simplon and the second going over the St Bernard. I need to go back. Quote
Gerontious Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 One of those rather dodgy lay-bys the Italians are so fond of.. that you don't really want to pull over onto. 3 Quote
Gerontious Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 (edited) They do lay-bys rather better in Austria, this next to the Plansee on the truly wonderful L255 one of my favourite non-mountainous roads ever. (we will return) And a mini-me lay-by on the Pustertaler High road in Austria ( this is 4 miles from our campsite next June @bonio ) Edited November 19, 2021 by Gerontious 2 Quote
