1. Just bought one. Now all I need is a nice few days to wash and dry out the bike. Then I'll see if this is worth anything. If you warm ACF up in hot water, does it go neat or do you need to dilute? What they mean to heat it is to submerge the acf50 container in warm water NOT add hot water to the ACF50 liquid

3. It might be in the way of the idle adjustment screw but that can be sorted . I've ordered a pair of carb rebuild kits that include jets , needles, gaskets and even floats and diaphragms all for the ridiculously low price of £8.07 . I haven't been disappointed yet by too good to be true Chinese stuff so let's hope this is no exception . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383767415660 See if something like this would replace idle screw as longer than er5 one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184403629640

5. Check the bulb Over the years they go weak and tarnish Check the headlight unit reflector is not corroded or damaged
6. For what purpose /what are you trying to achieve? This will have some relevance to technique

Another newbie!

Plenty of ideas out there as the RT has been widely been adapted / bobbed etc just do a google search for Rt bobbers Might pay you yo find a cheap winter hack etc to get you mobile , that way time pressures don't interfere with the build quality .
10. Depends which 'gunk' you're referring to. If you spray ACF50 everywhere and leave it on all winter it will certainly help combat corrosion. My issue is we live near a salt mine so the bike gets covered in salt every day hence I wash it down. But for none salt grime ACF50 will do the job. As with any inhibitor the main main stage of preparation is having a DRY surface to add it to .. No point trapping moisture in
11. Bing bong ... would Mr Stu come to the jetwash vs wheel bearing post please
12. Big thing to do with ANY led indicator before fully fitting is check its visibility from a reasonable distance in position... Yes Leds may be brighter etc but have found on some of the lower cost ( even some model branded optional extras) have a certain operating angle to be effective and your bike going through the variable movements it will on a normal ride then their effectiveness is greatly reduced .
13. Same as. I use a good degreaser on bike then dry off with a pet dryer and allow to dry in heated garage ... Cover brakes and any important/ delicate items with thick material Warm the bike up with pet dryer on hot and then use an Air compressor and spray gun with ACF or XCP to distribute across the whole bike not so much need to remove every panel as it mists into those awkward places nicely . Allow to settle and remove maskings and run to remove the burny off residue...
14. XCP is goodbut oh so Sticky butcreates a thicker protective layer

Bandit Woes

Dremel like tool cutting heads off at least gives you some stud to purchase on after headers removed. Drill the heads off with increasing larger drill bits again allow s some stud to remain. Would suggest hammering torx fitting in there bit if they are that tight then i doubt it will do anything
17. Basic maintenance Check and adjust the chain tension Check and adjust the clutch cable....
18. Or some one has cloned your plate But as they would only snail mail not email then yep Delete and not worry
19. Do it on cars and track bike as not fussed about wheel condition but not on wife's zx6 or my gtr as don't want to mark the finish ...
20. Arm signals are good enough .....

22. Been driving a kinda auto car for a few years now but the fact is, the operation of the brakes on any car is always done with the foot that operates the accelerator. Unless of course, if you fancy licking the windscreen with your forehead... Learn left foot braking ... Brilliant method for car control on loose surfaces or high speed manoeuvres on twisty roads
23. Without music my mind goes into overdrive and i am mentally fatigued even after a 3 mile ride . Music on .... I remain focused on riding and its required obs and can introduce other thought processes if i desire or dismiss them and just concentrate on my riding .Happily ride all day
24. Tell him to think of all the times he has gone to do diy and the nightmares of what should be a simple measure drill screw job.... Turns into a measure , drill feck bodged plaster work by previous owner , re drill etc etc. But this time it will be him under scrutiny. Any job you have to pay to have means walk away in my book .... It's not as if blind installation is a city and guilds ..
25. With a rangerover rac is optional, alcoholics anonymous is obligatory. The very first rr was fine, fit electronic ignition and carry some oil it would cross the world, anything post 3.9 and Asda and back is a push. I don't know, the newer ones aren't THAT bad, well except the P38, that is, and then some!. To be fair if I were crossing the world I'd want one of these: I freely admit they're a better car, it's just they cost so much more to buy that I'd rather take the chance and have that lovely interior . I'm looking forward to revisiting this thread in the future to either inform you all its gone catostophically wrong and laugh at myself or that it hasn't missed a beat and laugh at you all .
