  1. I’m usually sweating in the garage ..... usually because I’ve just f——d another job up and I’m sat there trying to figure out how I’m gonna tell the wife
  2. Pretty much the same, the only difference being they put the unused portion back in, plasma is separated from the blood in a centrifuge ..... I was also wondering how they did it and was reading up on it yesterday
  3. I'm with s-westerly, no such thing as reform for people like this, they have no respect for themselves or anyone else, they'll never change ..... They'll be back on the streets again soon doing the same shite all over again!
  4. This was a good few years ago but I remember it well .... Stupidity prevails in all walks of life https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1164469/Paramedics-used-NHS-ambulance-booze-cruise-holiday-France.html
  5. I have a Ghost x, Good camera, terrible sound unless you use an external mike, as Bender said there have been some charging issues, I personally haven't had any since updating the firmware. One thing to note, if you get one, leave about ten seconds between switching it on and hitting the record button, I had a problem where it wasn't recording and it was because I was pressing record straight after turning it on.
  6. I got it cheap in the sale!
  7. I did think that there was a little bit too much denial in that response .....
  8. 95 - 99% O2 Sats is considered normal for a healthy adult, 100% is normally only achieved by hyperventilation or in an operating theatre scenario where you're being manually hyper oxygenated prior to intubation. Normal is slightly different for people with respiratory problems such as COPD. Normal resting heart rate for a healthy adult is between 60 - 80bpm. A resting heart rate of 29bpm isn't considered normal, unless you're one of these deep free divers, it would even be considered very low for a super fit athlete. Try taking it manually, much more reliable, if it's still reading that manually I would suggest seeing your GP, doesn't hurt to get it checked. Slow heart rate isn't always due to a heart problem, it can be linked to other diseases so worth getting checked, there are usually other symptoms though, malaise, weakness, feeling faint or dizzy to mention some of the more common ones. It could just be as basic as a dodgy pulse oximeter, the cheaper ones on the market aren't as good as the hospital ones, I've seen some huge variations between hospital monitors and personal ones over the years, other abnormal variations can be due to cold hands, poor circulation, nail varnish , or anything that interferes with the light transmission from the probe. Hope it's all ok mucker, take it easy
  9. What a strange food parcel to receive .... certainly not what you'd expect! Good stuff and nice that she's getting it but I would have thought it would have been something more substantial?
  10. Certainly a cheaper method if you can do that
  11. I often wonder, post covid, "whenever that may be", where the government are going to find the money to fund their very ambitious plans, national debt is running into billions of pounds! Unemployment is at an all time high and is set to get worse and now the reality of Brexit is also starting to hit home....I think we're all gonna be in the shite for some time to come just trying to keep our heads above water sadly.
  12. Morning everyone .... Out for an early walk with the dog, a bit white out this morning! It's thawing fast now though
  13. Sadly I knew it would be! I personally think 2021 is set to be just as shite as last year.....
  14. That is one of the better looking e-bikes I've seen, the cost however is horrific
  15. It's a lot heavier and more robust than it looks in the picture, rubber feet on the underside to prevent slip, the rollers can be altered to accommodate different size tyres and it has a rubber bung to go under the side stand (if needed) to make the bike sit a bit more upright .... I'm well impressed with it (easily pleased me)
  16. Just bought one of these from SBS, I so wish I had have done this a long time ago .... Money well spent! Makes cleaning and getting to the tyre valve to check pressures so much easier
  17. Interesting video. I've always found penetrating oils to be pretty hit and miss, I'm not an engineer but I work on the assumption that if the oil can't actually penetrate past the bolt to get to the rusted threads stopping it from moving then its a waste of time .... what I did used to do, with some success, on old Landy's was to use a heat gun and sweat the bolts loose, obviously that can't always be done but it is effective.
  18. I was forwarded this by a friend and thought I'd post it to see if anyone wants to join by sending him a card ..... Not many of these old boys left and it's easy to forget how much they all sacrificed for us

  19. I had charging problems with mine on one occasion, firmware upgrade sorted it. My two biggest gripes were sound and the camera not recording. Wherever I mounted the camera the sound quality was crap. I sorted it with a remote Microphone after getting advise here on the forum and am much happier with it now. I found out that it was failing to record because I was pressing the record button straight after powering the camera on, apparently, after powering on, they suggest leaving it for ten to twenty seconds before hitting the record button. I just wish these snippets of advice were made clear in the instructions. Overall it's a good little camera despite the initial problems, I think I still prefer GoPro though.
  20. Tend not to watch much news, fed up with same old crap being regurgitated .... I thought Al Jazeera was Arabic??
  21. Thats the last time I ever get invited to build a snowman!
  22. I had a similar issue some time ago, funnily enough that was after a windows update as well! My issue was apparently a driver issue, drivers on the computer had to be updated .... I'm no computer whizz, a neighbour did it for me, I'm sure there'll be instructions on Google somewhere for it though.
  23. They're doing the same in a Glen where we go walking, the trick there though is hanging the bags in trees. One person started it and other sheeple have followed suit, really f-----g annoying! There's actually a bin in the car park, they're just too bone idle to use it.
  24. Be honest .... all of us who have ever worked on our own machines have experienced this face, and for this same reason, at least once!
