  1. That's a pretty spot on assessment of the 900gt, Ive had mine 2yrs and over 10k on it now if it wasn't for lockdown it would be more like 16k. Agree with the suspensions, seat and screen niggles but I do love the engine. The menu selector wheel is the only other pain can be a bit annoying. Those tyres I wasn't a fan of either I opted for Avon spirits and like you say make it a new bike. Mine is used for everything too and has been great. I've chopped it in for an Honda AT adventure sports es plus doing a lot more 2 up touring and this will do everything I need plus it's been a really shitty year for my wife and I and I thought I'd do something positive to make me smile!
  2. Great looking bike I have a adventure sports model on order took the plunge on a trade in. They are just like hen's teeth to get hold of though!
  3. I highly recommend this place on route to Cornwall. Its one of my favourites good pitches, not expensive and spotlessly clean facilities. Some great costal roads to follow further down the coast to Cornwall from here. Saw a massive pod of dolphins in 2018 on a boat trip was a real sight to behold. Harbour restaurant in Lyme Regis has some of the best seafood and it comes straight from the Cobb couldn't get more local. Open the gate on the site and you are on charmouth beach a quiet unspoilt beach great for fossil hunting you will pretty much be guaranteed a find!
  4. All things to look forward to. I'm still isolating for a few weeks with my wife and hopefully we will be able to get planning too. Where are you off camping?
  5. I bought a Scorpion eco air 1400 carbon, fit was the best I've experienced and extremely light, quiet lid and the air function makes a great fit. At £249 it was good value, came with clear visor, tinted visor and the pinlock insert, also had a good sharp test rating. I have to say I love it, I sometimes have neck pain and with this lid being so light it's spot on.
  6. I'm off to Ireland for a short break in October but other than that I'm staying in the UK this year and being selective as to where I go. As soon as the brainless element start hitting the holidays it will all go wrong. For some reason holidays bring out the worst in people. From my experiences elements of British and Russians seem to be the worst for forgetting how to behave when on holiday. I'll stick to taking the caravan away, day trips and the garden, it will just be my misbehaving my wife will have to endure !
  7. Yes a lot of the speed limits are wrong so I don't use them as a guide just in case
  8. The quality of the finish on the swing arm is questionable apparently seems overpriced
  9. I'm pleased for you James a big relief I'm sure. I knew all would be well, you just put your case across to justify no ban. Like I said before courts do listen and your track record is taken into account, as you say a crazy week. Onwards and upwards mate

    Sad news

Likewise I've not been on here for a little while, keep ur chin up all will be well in time mate
  11. I've had my covid jab so thinking about it maybe something to do with Bill Gates and 5G, the vaccine messing with my phone
  12. Isn't technology great !
  13. Settings, app, select the app then the 3 dots on the right hand corner uninstall updates should do it.
  14. Maybe see if there is anyone local who has some u used private space you can rent. I love in Dudley just down the road from you and you will need to make sure the bike is secure vehicle crime is not great in our areas
  15. I uninstalled the Android system web view app and all has been fine since on my honor which is a cheap Huawei. I cleared the cache, restarted the phone and re formatted the memory card prior thinking it was just me only to find out it was a software issue. So I'd say uninstall the we view app or undo the updates and it should work
  16. Its on our list of places to try. I love Croatia for its friendly people and great food, also Malta too but my in laws are Maltese so I'm a little biased. Prague and Czech Republic great for city breaks and still cheap if you know where to go, some lovely places out towards the Austrian border. We are stopping in the UK this year but once all settles down I'll give Portugal a try
  17. The after service care can't be any worse than with my Himalayan when I had it!
  18. Have a look what council garages are nearby, as it's been said you will need a lockup. Get in the list with wolvo council I'm in Dudley they told me a 2yr wait I managed to get a garage right next door to my house in 6 months which was lucky
  19. I can relate to that. Working from home for a few months and reliant on tech and online training for new systems is just nuts and doesn't make us any more efficient. I've missed taking my caravan away for the last year off grid no WiFi or TV !
  20. I'm begrudgingly beginning to accept some stuff but I do ask myself do I need it. I have found the app and thermostat in my new intergas boiler v useful, this saves money as if you use it properly you use less heat. I have a ring camera front and rear we live in a cul Dr sac with a little rat run alley at the end. After 1 week it helped spook a prowler at 2.30 am on my driveway, the alarm and audio did the trick no issue since. I have a Google best mini speaker it was a freebie and i see no use in that I'd rather just use it as a smartspeaker with Spotify. Never say never some has uses just depends on your domestic setup. I work nights a lot so house unattended so like the peace of mind of the cameras and handy for deliveries if I'm out. The boiler app helps me prevent the step daughter cranking the heating up to 28
  21. Great article! Looks like a lot of bikes will be moving from v engines and making way for parallel twins I understand the v Strom may be on its last reincarnation of the current engine setup. I've heard the cp2 is being tested in some form or turbo format looks like a lot of changes ahead. Cheaper generic 125cc bikes changing from air to water cooled, I know zontes has a new offering which looks pretty good albeit prices are now higher.
  22. January always seems to have a way of just booting you in the nuts! We thought 2021 may have showed some promise but have began with a rollercoaster if events too. Fingers crossed it will get better
  23. I like an egg in pretty much every format but pickled, they are the devil's work. I live in the west midlands the comment about scraps is so right we always used to be able to get them but not anymore. Our local chippy has pies from the local butcher which are amazing. Cod or haddock I love both but haddock probably edges it for me.
  24. Its like the hall of mirrors I like it. Why the long face
  25. Every police force and every officer will have their own views on this. When I did do prolaser speed enforcement years ago i was next to a liveried car in high Viz on an open stretch I had no issue with headlight flashing. After all I'm sure the motorist was merely informing other of his presence on the road. As long as the speeds dropped I had happy locals, In most cases it was l the local community complaining about speed and they were usually the ones getting the tickets and responded with 'but officer we only meant the issues was with those travelling through'. They wouldn't complain for a while after. On the point of the local press its a good idea to get things sorted. We have loads of the led flashing 30 signs by us it does give u a reminder and there is no excuse for not slowing down then.
