  1. All this chat about Dock Road, Canada Dock and Seaforth sea port brings back memories of the many hours i spent there trying to get loaded or not depending on how they felt on the day.
  2. If I was to become a dictator I would have a Big red Nuclear arm button.
  3. You have to expect the unexpected on country roads it make no difference if it was a copper or wildlife or farm machinery or farm animals. The second rider is not paying attention and has plenty of time to react and either stop in a controlled manner or slow and pass by the first bike. Ive lost count of the times ive been hit from behind and they always claim its someone else`s fault.
  4. Thats a nice job I wont say anything about the doors just your wife is right but never ever tell her that. And I know in these eco times and that Greta child I should not say this but I may have mixed old engine oil with creosote for many years and the creosote substitute. The modern water based stuff is useless and seems to me just to be a coloring exercise.
  5. Sorry but I would rather use a pogo than ride that god awful monstrosity.
  6. Brilliant practical joke he must of been a drummer in a previous life.
  7. "I had read a lot of stick about it being a Chinese manufacture, But seen lots of people saying they had came a long way in recent years.." Yes China certainly has come a long way in recent years mostly by trying to kill the rest of the planet with their dubious food markets and eating habits. Oh and they still make shit bikes to.
  8. I cant be specific but i think it was about a year ago, have you looked on the classic mechanics website for any clues.
  9. Why not fix it properly and look at why it is leaking if its faulty repair kit or replace the tap. Trust me the last thing you need is leaking fuel on a hot engine.
  10. Think yourself lucky you missed it the pictures went down hill very quickly. I didnt sleep at all last night every time I closed my eyes there was screaming in my head. I going for therapy now
  11. Ive been going to the TT since the early eighties with a few years missed due to illness and things and used to go bike bike. Then we started hiring a big van get three bikes and all the camping gear inside and it cut the cost of the ferry crossing. Over the last 4/5 years the weather has played havoc with the schedule so hardly any free time to ride the bikes when racing wasnt on and we fancied going over for the classic tt in August. So we left the bikes at home and went over in an estate car for the classic tt instead. Personally I like the whole atmosphere of the classic it is more relaxed and a greater variety of bikes on and off the track it is like the TT from years ago. I was due to go this year but on going health issues and then the covid lock down put paid to that. I would urge anyone to go even if its just once it is a beautiful island and the greatest race track on earth.
  12. Im with Ian it seems a shame to scrap it parts are getting harder to find for bikes like that to keep them on the road. I would either break it or sell it as is and if it makes you feel uneasy why not donate the money made to a charity to help others.
  13. Yes she loads and unloads the bike but the only time she is on the bike at the end of the video she has to practically slide off the right side to get her foot down.
  14. Thats all well and good but how does he stop at a junction or traffic lights or does he just balance it out for ages?????????????????
  15. It would make zero difference your best bet would be to lose weight and it may go a bit faster.
  16. The Downing street update tonight was like watching a car crash it was a bloody disaster for Boris, He stumbled lost his train of thought what little he has and as usual failed to answer a straight question. It just shows him and the moron Cummins up for what arrogant twats they are. Whoever was running the video feed has probably been sacked as well it was a laugh to watch. I do wish the journos would get their act together their bloody questioning is abysmal like being cross examined by halfwit.
  17. Just a thought but if you fancied something a bit different have a look at the Kawasaki KLE500 they use the same engine and a more sit up riding position. They are a bit rarer and prices are a bit higher than an ER5.
  18. The ER5 is a good bike the engine is bomb proof they have issues like all bikes main one being vacuum tap but there are easy fixes if it happens to you. Spares are plentiful and cheap its a solid work horse that wont cost a fortune to run and if you want to move on to something bigger you wont lose on it.
  19. Hi and welcome to the forum, give these a try https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/
  20. Happy birthday Colonel Tom you are a legend. Just had an amazing view of the fly past and the amazing sound of those glorious engines. That has made my year.
  21. I went on Concorde on a free junket once and the best bit is the take off and then the landing the force was amazing but my god it was cramped in there.
  22. Why don't you get these guys to rebuild it for you. https://www.powerhouse.uk/content/motorcycle-brakes/motorcycle-brake-caliper-refurbishment-service.php
  23. That bus video looks totally fake there is no dust kicked up or dirt on the road as it turns around.
  24. If it was me would run it at full throttle so it smoked like hell then send a video to Greta in Sweden just to piss her off. The rotovator will be fine it may smoke a little but not a problem.
  25. He was my hero it was fantastic to see him race at the tt on one of the best looking bikes ever made. Rip tony and condolences to all his family and friends. Very sad news
