  1. Was that before or after you bought Sue's present?
  2. The moggies got the right idea (and probably the best spot)
  3. We (GB) should have been able to do what the Americans did for a couple people they wanted from here, and that's get an extradition warrent enacted and dragged her unsorry arse back here for trial, but no, that only works when the USA want someone, hence my earlier comment about the hacker. Deliberate or not, with Asperger syndrome he literally could not fathom he had done wrong, but Sacoolas could, and should have faced the music
  4. I know she has now accepted responsibility, but I think it was forced out of her. From the ouset, she appeared not to be sorry in any shape or form. We all understand it was an accident, she didn't deliberately drive into the poor lad, it was an error of judgment. So, if she had any kind of conscience she would have stayed and answered for her actions in a honest, timely manner, which would have helped ease some of the family's suffering. Instead, after initially talking to the police, saying she wasn't going anywhere the next day she is back in good ol USA, spouting diplomatic immunity bullshit to avoid taking any responsibility for the accident. Kudos to Harry's family for keeping up their attempts to get justice
  5. Can't think of a position for Darling though, maybe foreign affairs?
  6. Nursey could be health Secretary and Queenie as Home Secretary
  7. Mrs Miggins from Black Adder
  8. I wonder if the yanks are still after the young chap that had asperger syndrome and hacked a US website looking for proof that aliens exist? Proves the "special relationship" is one sided
  9. My view is it was an immoral act to flee the country, and for it then to be claimed she had diplomatic immunity because her husband was a "government agent"
  10. As the headline says, Anne Sacoolas has pleaded guilty to careless driving
  11. That's just weird
  12. Why can't we use water cannons like other countries. Might actually give some of them a wash
  13. I bet red herrings are going up in price as well due to a shortage or something
  14. We are all going to have different ideas for comfort, etc so the best advice is go sit on some bikes and test ride if possible. Visit Motocycle Live at the NEC in November and look around - - there will be plenty to see/sit on
  15. A while ago some drivers did drag the idiots out of the way but as far as I know none were prosecuted for assault, etc, after all they were illegally blocking a public highway. Me, I'd just ride the bike through or over them, as if they were a speed hump
  16. Just get Henry Cole to put a Rock Oil sticker on the bottle, then it should be cheaper
  17. I'm getting p****d off with these nobheads, and these other twats pouring milk on supermarket floors, trying to get us to go plant based cos cows produce too much methane, or the tyre deflating w*****s
  18. Gortex is a PTFE that has been super heated and stretched, creating minute holes that sweat molecules can pass through, but not water, so it's breathable and waterproof. Gear that has the Gortex lining laminated to the outer is more waterproof than if it is a separate layer, because the laminated one stops water soaking the outer layer. The ones with a layer of Gortex added allows the outer layer to soak up the rain, which will inevitably find its way through so you get wet in places. A cheaper version is called Hipora, it does the job, but not as well. Treat your boots with nikwax, make sure to rub it in well, and it will help, though if you want to really keep your feet dry invest in a set of overboots
  19. I thought I was seeing things!
  20. Mines a 1994 version, engine did 123000 miles before LH conrod broke, all now fixed and waiting to be insured, etc to get it back on the road
  21. Riding my 500 is some of the best fun I have had in a long time, even out in the pouring rain
  22. Honda Varadero 125 would suit a tall chap
  23. Changed the front sprocket. Could still here the scraping noise from the chain so decided to investigate further, and this is the result. Yo be fair, the sprocket fits both ways, so maybe I should just turn it round and keep the new one in its chain kit I would have changed the whole lot, but I need a new pin for my splitter and I'm getting too buggered in my joints to be crawling about on the floor. (anyone got a lifting table they don't want?)
