Chassis no VIN numbers also no reg plate
dynax replied to fv43576's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
I would get in touch with the DVLA and see what they say, they may offer another frame number and Q plate it, other than that i have no idea, good luck with it sorry i can't be of any more help -
What is the bike idling like, you could increase the idling speed so it ticks over a little faster

Taken from an internet search. The frame number on the CS50 should be located on the right side of the frame steering stem (the part of the frame that is below the handle bars and above the front wheel). The engine number should be stamped onto a plate on the back of the engine crankcase (on the furthest part of the crank case). -
About 20 off hand, probably more if i counted them

try and clean the area where the vin number is with some degreaser, then use some chalk or some make up powder borrowed from your missus, then get some masking tape and press and rub it down over the vin number, then transfer that to a piece of plain white paper, and with a bit of luck should give you the full vin number -
For those that need their biking fix, why not go slot racing

They do work on DC, the reg/rectifier converts the AC to DC and regulates the voltage to around 14 volts if you have to just rev the engine when stood still might be worth checking for a bad earth connection

watching some breakfast news, looking more likely that a complete lockdown will be implemented within the next 24hrs, all due to the incompetent ar*eholes gathering at the weekend

Will post this here, as good a place as any https://www.visordown.com/news/general/can-i-ride-my-motorcycle-during-coronavirus-lockdown

Going for a solo ride is one thing, but group gatherings should be avoided, they need their rides confiscated if they can't be trusted to be responsible people

just took her out for a blast down the road, much more responsive and no flat spots, can even get to lift the front wheel off the ground , next thing will be the forks and head bearings, not sure whether to get a seal kit or wait and see if it needs anything replacing, will probably get some fork oil for now and see how it goes

Took the carb off Bridget which was an absolute pain most of hose clips were rusted up and took ages to loosen them up, got the carb off and stripped it and cleaned it very little crap inside so that was a bonus, got it all back together and back on the bike runs great now and adjusted the tickover so is idling nicely, the test will be starting in the morning after a coldish night
