@S-Westerly Kindles are fantastic and for someone like you I'm sure they are even more useful. I read quite a bit and it's been a while since I bought an actual book, usually only when I can't get an e-version of it. Still can't bring myself to part with my bookcases though

I'm patiently waiting for them to offer me another audible (audio books) deal. Last year I got offered half price for 6 months so £3.99 for a book a month. I won't pay full price on the principal of it used to be 2 books a month you'd get and they knocked it down to 1 book and kept the same monthly fee

More comfortable, far superior noise reduction, more aerodynamic. Usually have a higher score on safety tests. Saying that there's nothing wrong with a £100 helmet if you get a trusted brand like caberg or hjc for example. I think my caberg lid was around £160 and it lasted well.

Think its lemon juice that the kids are using. At least thats what my 13 year old daughters youtube history showed!! I told her that I would never believe any test result she showed me after I saw she'd been looking, and would have to do one in front of me

She would genuinely be pissed off if she finds out! I'm impressed with myself for the forward thinking when I did the kitchen. Just not so much with my memory!!

Once again it is me Electric Oven packed in last week, interesting fault, it kept turning the grill on while using the oven and refused to switch off Wife wanted it replacing with an all singing & dancing model she had seen. I said no as old one was a 13amp plug in and when I remodeled the kitchen years ago I had removed all the old wiring and put the socket in for the oven. I didn't want to be taking tiles off wall, running new cables from cooker socket, re-tiling etc etc so said it had to be a similar model so I can just do a straight swap with no messing. Took old oven out today to discover that past me had planned for this by wiring the plug socket with 6mm cable

Welcome to the forum First thing I'd do is make sure the battery has a full charge. Clicking is usually a dead battery.

The Wife's Mk2 Renault Megane gave us electrical gremlins for its entire life with us. Usual fault was the window motors would go loopy and wind windows down completely and then lock up so you couldn't get them back up. Was around £200 per window to fix the issue so I got the drivers window sorted and disconnected the rest The engine never gave any issues at least

Bit like if I ever want to really piss my Wife off I'll tell her I hope she has a quiet shift

Saw something a while back that made me laugh. Showed some 2nd amendment protesters in America demonstrating while carrying their guns. All peaceful, no issues. One of them happened to be carrying a very large (and very expensive) Barret M82 .50 cal rifle. Media reported it as a rifle that is "routinely' used by armed forces to shoot down enemy planes When was the last time America had a war against someone with any planes let alone using a bloody rifle to attack them with!!

Going to post this now as I've been at work since 5:30am and doubt I'll make it to midnight! Hope everyone has a good night and more importantly here's hoping next year is moving back towards normality for us all

That is exactly what mine is for, along with turning on lights and heating
