  1. Good post! nice idea to give new riders a rough idea I however will not be participating on the off chance my Wife reads it!!
  2. That used to drive me mad when I worked at a station. Massive queue's everywhere and half the pumps were empty I was working at one during the 2012 tanker protests. We had signs up saying we had run out of fuel when in truth we had 500 litres left for emergency vehicles and staff
  3. Sounds impressive until you realise he's 4ft 11"
  4. Perfect timing for me as I'm having to isolate for 10 days!! Hopefully things will of calmed down by time I need to fuel up
  5. When I worked nights at a petrol station you would always get kids on their mopeds or similar revving the arse off at the pumps. My lawnmower had more grunt to it One glorious night a guy pulled up on a Harley, one of the big ones, Roadking, street glide or similar. He looked over at them and gave his bike one long LOUD roar I swear you could see their faces turning red under the helmets!!!
  6. Sly Stallone is making a new movie based on Famous composers, speaking at the press conference, he and the other actors say who they'll be playing as. Stallone: I'm going to be Mozart Statham: I'll be Beethoven Van Damme: I'm acting as Chopin Schwarzenegger: I'll be Bach Sorry

    Re-newbie

I remember that secret Santa I got a nice coffee mug and I believe I sent someone a bar of soap
  8. I see you are based in the states, this is a primarily UK based forum so it might be hard for us to give you advice on what's a good bike to start with. In this country you are stuck with lower powered options and various tests depending on your age before you can play with the big boys
  9. @Mississippi Bullfrog My eldest brother was in the EOD, I spent a week with him in Tidsworth when I was 17/18 and was thinking of joining Army (he's approx 13 years older) He said a big part of the calls they got were from people who's elderly fathers had just died and they had come across "souvenirs" brought back from the war. Grenades both English & German variety, Rifles, Pistols, Machine Guns etc!!
  10. I quite like magners!! I do know exactly what you mean though and feel like throttling the bar staff when they ask if I'd like ice in my single malt
  11. What a great first post!! Hopefully @RantMachine will see this soon
  12. Thanks everybody!!! Had a long day with all the family. My birthday presents seem to have a certain theme @Bender good job you haven't got this lot or everybody on here would get banned
  13. Interestingly the highest figures are for drive without reasonable consideration & Drive without due care and attention Makes sense these are the most reported as it'll be people getting cut up or having to slam on brakes that will be getting annoyed and reporting it
  14. Happy Birthday!!
  15. Mine is already planning on Christmas market trips
  16. That's a no then
  17. The bike is a KTM. Not sure on the model. Definitely a custom body kit of some kind

    BMW special tools

Can't be real BMW tools, if it was they'd have massive logos on covering the whole thing
  19. Are you sure it was a photographer?
  20. In a nutshell,. Yes. You can ride a 125cc if you take a CBT though it expires after 2 years so you either have to retake it or do a full bike test.
  21. I remember the first time I took a drum brake apart for no reason other than to have a look inside. A very panicky while later I'd managed to work out where all the springs and bits went back
  22. Bollocks to that!!!
  23. Cheers people. It'll probably come down to whichever deal looks good. As @Fish said, they will all be able to do more than I can anyway!! leaning towards the canon 450d at the moment mainly due to there being a good amount of them floating around eBay with low shutter counts. while on the subject I'll post these pics I took earlier in the week with my phone. I'm quite impressed with the camera on it, seems to do a nice job of close up stuff.
  24. I had a Suzuki intruder for years. Served me well and taught me a lot about basic repairs & maintenance. A lot of road presence for a 125 as well.
