  1. Got a big Screwfix delivery today with most of the bits I'll need Also not shown was this box.... Which had inside it....... A single radiator key!!!
  2. I think any textile jacket with minimal branding would be ok. I wore my Heine Gericke Jacket on holiday to Iceland as it was the warmest jacket I owned
  3. Nice selection Vise-Grips and Duct tape are useful too
  4. @onesea More and more of them about at moment around here. On my way home from work last year as I pulled out of a junction I had to slam on as a guy was flying down the hill, at night, no lights, black clothing with hoodie

    Welcome WD40

Have you locked yourself out of your old account?
  6. Stopped once for a guy, parked in middle of Yorkshire moors. He had run out of fuel but his Wife was on the way to him with a can. Stayed and chatted to him for a while, he said I better leave before she turns up as she was fuming
  7. I'm a big fan of podcasts but haven't actually tried a biking one as yet, I'll give yours a listen When doing prep work at my job I have the place to myself for 5 hours so I listen to quite a lot of different things, Audible books are another but expensive if you don't sign up for the monthly membership My usual goto podcasts are the Joe Rogan Experience, Penn Jillettes Sunday School, The Tim Ferris Show & The Infinite Monkey Cage with Brian Cox.
  8. Happy Birthday!!
  9. Ahem... Its not the length its the width that matters!....apparently ..... My tool is only a cheap bosch diy jobbie but gets the job done when it counts I lent it to my boss a few years ago when he was renovating a flat he had bought. When he gave it back to me he gave me a brand new one, same make & model, he said he had given mine so much abuse he would feel guilty giving it back
  10. @Mickly My Wife had a Renault Megane Mk2. You had to remove the front wheel to change the bulb, ridiculous design that makes no sense. And probably beyond the means of some owners to actually do! Edit: And having removed the wheel I found the access panel was so small I got my (at the time) 10 year old daughter to fit the bulb as I couldn't be arsed removing all the wheel arch liners
  11. I was waiting for a slippers comment
  12. Started taking tiles off in toilet today. Some of them look to of been put on with no more nails glue!! Good news is I've never had tiles come off so easy, I pulled whole sections off by hand. For the rest I used my new toy, an 80mm cranked chisel bit for an SDS drill, I'd definitely recommend anyone taking tiles off to use one if possible, so easy to do.
  13. I'm patiently waiting for a person to return who twice so far on a Tuesday has left fast food rubbish on the street outside my work. I have permission from the owner to throw it back in the car. Both times I haven't noticed until it's too late. First time was a regular taxi and second time was an Uber. It pulls up just below my shop and the passenger in the back opens the door and drops a load of McDonald's or KFC waste on ground.
  14. Autotrader has a bike section
  15. I believe regular users are limited. I however am not...........
  16. @husoi You can't go over 40px or it won't work
  17. I always know if it's especially cold through night as my cat comes into our room and makes her way underneath the quilt
  18. Absolutely correct @Bender and that would be the most sensible way of doing it. Some nameless idiot had already taken dooroff and disposed of in advance I learnt my lesson when doing downstairs!!
  19. I want steak now!!
  20. @Fozzie it looks worse in photos, you don't really notice it day to day. If/when we ever sell up though rest assured it'll be left open for any viewings
  21. @Bender I don't know why but I had it in my head you would only ever recommend copper pipe and solder not speedfit I was preparing for an argument as I've used speedfit for years without any issue
  22. @Pie man there isn't any iso valves and that is going to be one of the first jobs!! I won't feel the need to rush things like I would if I had all the water switched off in house. While on the subject i'm half tempted to fit one of these while i'm there. Our stop cock is situated in the bathroom at the bottom of a cupboard and is an arse to get to when needed.
  23. @Fozzie I just fitted all new doors in my house last year. Can you see the fun I had trimming my bedroom door to make it fit? I really should of just taken out the frame and fitted new, would of probably taken as much time as it did to plane the door into shape!! I'm betting it was one joiner who did the frame and another who came along to hang the door as no way would someone make a job that hard for themself As a bonus though it meant I had an excuse to buy myself nice new tools (electric planer and some half decent wood chisels)
