Ar excellent, like an honesty box type thing. And it's 10 points for each establishment/thing you get. Ok sorted, thanks. -
Challenge 2024 Challenge 2024 - Discussion Thread
Nick the wanderer replied to Hoggs's topic in General Rideouts/Meets
Hi, I got my first points at the weekend, or so I thought. The folks either side of me got theirs updated but not mine. Did I do something wrong? -
Hi, you could try plugging it in and see if it throws up any fault codes. OBD2 diagnostic port under the seat, you will need the connecting adapter depending on which model you have. Cheap enough on the selling sites.

Nick the wanderer replied to Simon Davey's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I have the odd hoodie for when I'm skulking about in the dark late at night.. But never on the bike. -
Love a sticker me, got hundreds of them, good to collect if you like collecting stuff because they take up very little room.

You can get your oil checked for engine wear if you want. They can give a report as to what is working or not just from an oil sample. Can't remember who or how much though, was it Millers? -

Blown the cobwebs off, quite literally this morning, and off the mark with a local favourite, Cafe 35 and Gurkha 91. -

Yeah we like France, it was cheaper to get a place with a pool there than take the kids to Butlins. Before Brexshit. -
One of the things that I keep noticing on this forum is Honda motorcycles really suffer badly from rust.

Sportsbikeshop is selling off all of its old stock, like you l couldn't find a decent fit. They only have odd sizes left now, hopefully they'll get some new stock in when they've cleaned out the older stuff. -
There is a lot of choice in the midrange twin scene, the Hornet would be a good choice l imagine. Go and have a sit on one.

What did you do WITH your bike today.
Nick the wanderer replied to Trooper74's topic in Motorbike Chat
I'm familiar with a lot of those villages, open roads through large village greens and always a pond, and all at 30mph. You did the sensible thing and moved over, let them race on until they are behind the next vehicle a few hundred metres up the road. -

Wing it! give it a blast of contact cleaner and go about your business, it's working isn't it? -
Ha haar.. great review.. I was thinking how long ago it was when I last saw them. I must look like Uncle Albert myself now, so I stopped thinking about it..

You been on the Chinon again, pics don't work.. -

Many moons ago bikers used to just flash their lights as they passed. Instead of a nod as such try twisting your head to one side, like a glancing look, you can do it and still keep your eyes on the road, like a sideways nod, works for me.

Looks like matey has bar risers on his, the pic above. Maybe you need something a little more upright.

White helmet.
Nick the wanderer replied to OnlyYamahas's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Hi, l chose a white helmet for exactly that reason, l think they are more visible so went with it. Don't know if there is any proof, l just noticed myself one day while watching a load of bikes go by. -
As above, you got caught and now you'll have to pay the price £.
