Really sad to see the Missenden Flyer has started singing the praises of these chancers on his YouTube channel. Thought he was better than that.

I have noticed a few have and also I have seen a few adverts for them on other websites too!

Wonder if they are being paid

I would suspect looking at the amount of reviews they get at 5* they are of dubious origins.

7x 5* reviews in one day. That's allot of satisfied customers when I am guessing most do not leave reviews.

Click verified and you see a different story:

I could be being over suspicious...

Fowler's another large redirected motorbike dealer a much more realistic graph.

I  get the impression like a few you tubers he will do anything for a bit if cash. I like his videos bit it's clear he will do stuff for payment or goods plus he's annoying 😂. I think superbike factory is good for going round and sitting on bikes then going elsewhere to purchase

They must be realising that anyone with a bit of sense wouldn't buy online from them which limits sales. TMF and motobob etc (who generally put out great content) are seen as honest men of the people, semi amateur content, no reason to misguide viewers. SBF but a wad of cash in their pockets and to piggyback off their reputations.

SBF have legal obligations as a business but that's probably the most they offer as far as customer service and after sales care goes. If there is one nearby then it's a great place to browse. But I view buying from them no different that buying privately. You need to know your stuff and can't trust a word they say.

I worked there at management level and their standards and work practices are bordering on criminal. Someone will be killed on one of their bikes if these practices continue. Please don't be that person and buy a bike from somewhere that actually services their bikes and who puts them through a thorough check process. 2 x 60 point checks does not constitute a 120 point check if the checks are the same but done twice. No bikes get checked for cooling function. Anything under 5k miles or 5 years old does not get test ridden. The collection drivers determine if the bike is 'ready to ride' without a technician looking at it. BE WARNED.

I saw what looked like a nice low milage bike recently. On seeing it the plastic had all faded, it was covered in marks and dents that weren't obvious in the auto trader ad. The whole thing looked like it had been fished from a shallow river. Reaffirmed my belief that they are just cowboys that are out to rid people of hard earned cash and nothing more.

That completely sucks.

Just to clarify I know of a person that is (contract paid) to fix bikes for them, when they don’t have a clue (which is pretty much all the time) but he only does the ones where the mark up allows them for his work, they dont fix them nor service them correctly too.

Another bike place to avoid is Ritebike in Bradford/leeds. Many dodgy and criminal acts goes on there.
clocks changed after purchasing of a 4thou original minter to a 10thou eBay scrapper.

front wheel changed of a 4thou original minter and the replaced with 40thou winter hack scrap yard special post purchased all without telling me. I suspect they wanted that mint wheel for another bike with a higher mark up.

Fluids not changed along with a lot of other stuff but The most worrisome and dangerous was it apparently passed it MOT after their “criminal work” was done but still all the front brake mounted bolts under face wasnt touching the fork leg cast let alone even finger tight!

Beware!

In defence of RiteBike, I bought my current steed off them three years ago and I've no complaints. I bought the bike over the phone and had it delivered. Not my preferred way to do business admittedly, but I needed a bike asap and there was nothing suitable locally.

But the bike was as described (lots of photos and video on their site) and came well prepared with fresh fluids and decent consumables. Of course, I gave it the once over when it arrived (checked all fluids/consumables and safety critical torque settings), I've put 12,000 miles on it since it's been rock solid.

I think that the key with any used bike purchase is to go in with eyes open, know what you're buying, what to look for and what questions to ask.

I also think that's the way to go....

If you're going to go down the avenue of bike supermarkets firstly make sure you know exactly what make, model, age and mileage you want. You also need a modicum of technical knowledge, the vast majority of the complaints above could probably have been spotted by someone who knew what they were looking at without having to resort to any tools or dismantling. Tyres for instance... I mean you can't really complain about worn tyres after you've looked at and bought a bike.

Ring them before hand and tell them you want the bike pulling out so you can have a good look at it, if you turn up unannounced, chances are it'll be buried and you won't even be able to sit on it.

Another complaint seems to be finance and not receiving the bike until weeks after the finance has started. Go in as a cash/debit/credit card buyer. Don't ever entertain car/bike finance from a dealership (You'll get stung with ridiculous rates for a start). Go to your own bank and ask for a loan if you can't afford outright, it's not secured on the bike that way either.

Don't purchase the bike till you've seen it, even if it's when they've brought it your house. The last bike I bought I paid for delivery (£100 or so, included in the cost of the bike if you wanted to proceed) and the balance was paid upon delivery, they brought a card machine and everything with the driver. They'll argue the toss but stand firm and tell them you'll pay reasonable delivery costs initially but you'd expect it to be deducted from the agreed cost of the bike if you decide to go ahead (essentially free delivery) otherwise tell them you'll go elsewhere.

They're often not deliberatly out to deceive, but theres often so little profit margin and turnover is high that they can't afford the staff to cover every detail like a main dealer would. Some real bargains can be had if you're prepared to go in with your eyes open and do your homework.

And that's exactly the way RiteBike worked when I bought mine: You pay the deposit and the balance when they turn up (if satisfied). Obviously if the bike turns out to be a dog then you can refuse it and argue over the deposit.

But, if push came to shove, I'd rather argue over a £few hundred worth of deposit than £thousands on a shit bike.

Sorry but Shitebike owners and managers can burn in hell.

You can’t argue when they already have your money and or px bike, when they poorly and dangerously prepare the bikes for the new owners.
I went in one eyed but the fookers still are prepared to screw customers over.
When the bike viewed was 4thousand mile MINT bike with nothing wrong with it when viewed. price was high due to its very low mileage and condition, I know the game it’s all in the figures but they make sure it’s all baised to there favour in any and all manner they can do even when they screw up.

they then decided to relook at the bike, and bodge all the work and cheap the crap out of it. So to add double and a half the mileage out of a bike because the battery was soo weak when they tried to start it broke and failed to change the bulb of the clocks as so sourced from a scrapper for both.

fooked the bearing and wheel that they sourced a wheel from a scrapper on eBay.

tyres pressures so missed matched on part worn tyres.

didn’t change any fluids, didn’t tighten any bolts including the brakes prior and after the mot.
all this after purchasing but prior to customer collection, failure, refusal and deception to tell the new customer of what they’ve done or changed really should makes you wonder…

As my local mechanic would say totally disgusting, diabolical and dangerous acts that taints the entire industry.

Do not trust superbike factory 1 little bit….

they will lowball you if you ask for a p/x by hundreds of pounds to what your bike is actually worth

if you do buy a bike they will hard sell a overpriced warranty that you don’t need and they will not make good on the warranty if something goes wrong on your new bike

if they offer financing for an older bike they will offer more money than you need and give you cash back sounds great but all there doing is screwing you because you’ll have more interest to pay them back

when it comes to finalising the deal the sales team will insist you leave a positive review on trustpilot and will keep you on the phone until it is submitted so it looks good and makes the company look good

please read carefully everything I’ve said

DO NOT BUY FROM SUPERBIKE FACTORY they are a finance company selling anything they can to make interest APR to make there money

everything I’ve said in this review is true about the company and not once have I even said anything about the bikes they are trying to flog I will leave that to others to review

Ordinarily, I'd also say "welcome to the forum", but your first post wasn't ordinary.

Glad I read back….

1621 reviews in 2022,  now 12,660.  That’s 11,039 reviews in 2 years.

That’s near enough 16 bikes a day, I suppose 3 bikes a day per branch?

Those are only the sales that get reviews, most with named sales persons and response from Dan. Dan in response to one review said they are a company of 300 employees, that’s 60 employees per branch.

Let’s say they are all part time (20 hours a week) and earn £12k a year on minimum wage, that’s a £ 3.5 million a year wage bill ignoring other costs.

They must sell allot of bikes, how many are actually sold in the uk each year?

The 3% bad reviews are worth a read.

Interesting to note Fowlers only got 44 reviews over this period someone else can work out the relative increases.

I'll tell you now, those reviews aren't genuine and have been paid for by Sbike Factry.

I loathe the place, won't touch them with a bargepole.

I'd be wary of buying from them if you have only seen the bike online. I almost purchased one, I gave them my card number etc. and they sent more photos that weren't on the original advert and I quickly cancelled. It had rust all over it but obviously those photos weren't on the advert. I would have been fuming if it come in that condition. I'm not saying they're all like that but phone them first and ask for more photos before you pay anything or if you can, be there in person.
