Wonderful old soldier dies after massive fund raising effort.

Surrounded by his devoted family ! really ?? ..DM ... surely not ...

I think he wanted to go and let's be honest at 100 how many more years are you likely to get?

To be sure I can see that, but since he used to ride motorcycles I suspect he knew all about balancing risk with having fun. After all, sitting on top of a tank of explosive liquid and hurtling around country lanes is in many people's view very much not a good idea either.

In situations where they know a person is in their final hours some hospitals allow immediate family to be with the patient. I think they learned from the experiences of people who were not allowed to be with loved ones when they died.

You are correct Mississippi Bullfrog when they said on the local news this morning I thought then it doesnt sound like there is going to be a good outcome. Rest in peace old soldier.
