S-Westerly Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 We went to do our stint on the naughty step for going too fast. 22 folks there but only me on a bike. I was good, kept my mouth shut (mostly) and have to avoid being done for next 3 years. 6 1 Quote

Fish Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Fitted an EvoTech rad guard to the bike, just didnt feel right not having one on there. Quote

Mississippi Bullfrog Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Trundling along the M57 this morning I passed a motorbike cop, who was riding without any gloves on. Bit odd, I'd have thought gloves were pretty essential. Plus it was quite chilly. I had my mid-season gloves on and my fingertips were just feeling on the verge of being cold. I've never ridden without gloves. Even a low speed spill can cause huge damage to your hands. 1 3 Quote
S-Westerly Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Can't imagine anyone to be so deranged as to ride without gloves. If you have an off you are almost certainly going to be putting your hands out with catastrophic results. (YouTube has some hideous examples). I'm surprised a cop would though - surely it would be a disciplinary thing for them? 3 Quote
JRH Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Met up with CB999 and had a good run out to collect 3 tags. Bacon & sausage sandwiches were consumed along with coffee. A later stop provided cake and coffee. ️ 2 Quote

Shepherd Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Rode my mk3 Versys 300 miles to Verviers, Belgium today, in readiness for a weekend at Spa Francorchamps watching a friend race in the GT championship. It has definitely made my mind up about getting a seat upgrade - I can barely walk Think I'm regretting selling the Deauville now. Shep 3 1 Quote
Fish Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 After a 5+ hour drive from Hull to home, I decided that as the sun was out and warm I'd give my new Knox Urbane Pro 3 a trial ride. I did put a hoodie over the top, but still let plenty of air thru and kept my nice and cool. Well the little trial ride, turned into a 4 hours bimble down to Hastings for supper. Fighting the flying dustbins (seagulls) for my hard earned food was getting annoying, so stuffed it down my throat and set off for home. The ride back was a little on the chilly side. 2 Quote

S-Westerly Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 Rode up to Halesowen to do the Bike Sure day with West Midlands Police. Had a great day in perfect weather and actually learned a bit. Had a one on one session for about 4 hours which was really good. Quite recommend it especially if you've not done anything before. I mainly wanted to find out if I'd picked up any bad habits like you tend to and was pleasantly surprised to find out I didn't have anything too bad. A good day. 6 Quote
