1. Tuesday morning there is a meting in there full of GOG with mainly classic bikes although all bikes are welcome Park up in the courtyard (tuesdays AM only).
2. £12 for a three course roast dinner that feeds four. That's why mums go to Iceland ... £5 for an 18 year old girl bouncing on your cock all day. That's why dads go to Thailand!
3. Hoggs just wondering I know I have not scored for a whilst but I notice I have dropped off the score board? Hoping it's mistake...
4. I don't know maybe sometimes there is no smoke without fire... ">
5. Just following from another thread out of interest. I know some will have ridden before so it's going to be subjective. I have also allowed multiple votes so you can include other halfs..
6. Yamaha TDM900 Non ABS £1800 A good all round bike surprisingly light, and nimble. Parallel Twin engine can do 60mpg+, 200 mile tank range. MCN quote; The Yamaha TDM900 is a streetbiking oddball that’s as brilliant beating congestion as it is swinging bends. The parallel twin motor is spunky enough for fun, while the wide bars really let you take charge and hustle. It’s such an easy motorcycle to ride you could do it with your eyes shut. For those new to biking don't be scared of 900cc its a pussy cat really. Good bits: Heated Grips, PR4 Rear Tyre with plenty of tread left, Phone holder & USB Charging, Recently serviced, - Long MOT Flip Screen for rider comfort. Bad Bits Front tyre is getting to the end of its life Left hand hand guard had knock secured with cable tie, has done plenty of miles no problems. Front Tyre, Chain and Sprocket getting to end of life. Offers only accepted after viewing No Test rides without cash in hand - Milage will increase bike still in regular use. Payment: Cash, Bank Transfer - NO PAYPAL or Western Union.
7. Just saying the might be some nice ones out there... https://m.facebook.com/selfieonbike/photos/?ref=page_internal&mt_nav=0 Just saying they might not all be idiots
8. If your pushing a motorbike surely its a "push bike" At which point you can push it on footpaths etc etc and into pushbike parking etc Obviously as soon as you start using the motor for propulsion it becomes a motor vehicle...
9. Its the same as daylight running lights now all all cars have them bikes lights become less effective. Next option it to go brighter and brighter till eventually all you will have is the dazzle of light and reflective gear. Already happens here driving of a dusk/ night through some local villages / junctions animals and tourists walking about. To much blinding reflection from signs the people / horses and animals just vanish from sight...
10. Letting it run it with new owner bad idea, you must cancel insurance or the car is insured twice and it can back to you personally. A little googling will give you legalise on technicalities. Your NCD is only valid on one car, out bike off you have 2 cars or bikes each had to have its own no claims bonus. Hence multi car policies or no NCD but no accidents is legal but ups premium a little bit.
11. Long story bought my misses a car, she did not like it so 6 months later she's bought another one at very good price I must add... She phones insurance to change cars: Phoned Sheila's Wheels. To change cars mid policy £97.06 and £26 admin charge= £123.06 to add 2 months temp cover £206.24 for old car. Or I start a new policy of £324.72 or ££29.89 a month, and get a cancellation fee of about £60 for other car, which would then be uninsured. Net result new policy elsewhere with no no claims bonus is cheaper. Even with hit of £60 cancellation fee when we sell other car. Anyone want a Pegoeut 205 Estate 1.4 petrol? 85k on the clock. Usual age related marks...
12. My 2 pence worth if you want a bike for transport, buy a Second hand Jap 125 preferably ratty looking and spend some money on security. Your 17 you will have girlfriend/ boyfriend you will go clubbing or what ever your bike may not always be left in the most desirable address. Bike theft IS a problem yes 125's as well. You could even consider a scooter with all its carrying capacity but that might be going a bit far! They are also just as desirable to thieves.
13. Anybody can masturbate under a sheet but it takes skill to do it without the Barbour noticing.
14. Yamaha Fazer or F6 You should get one in budget, handy round town and capable of doing a run worth looking at...
15. Today taxi driver parked across the bike parking bay, having let out his fare. Determined to wait till they returned, trying to ignore the motorbike behind. As the que down the high street grew I was patient indicating to taxi that I wanted to park my bike, in the motorbike parking bay. FInally the taxi rolled forward 10' and I could park my bike, the car behind then jesticulated at ME for wanting to park my bike in a bike parking bay. So I think there is taxi driver and que of traffic thinking I am the Nob. Funny things taxi drivers, park in their marked bays and they make it clear in no uncertain terms they are all big and important and you are the knob... When they block the bike parking bay they are still the big guy and you are the knob. I guess if nothing else it takes one to know one, if taxi drivers are the ones to say they are always the bigger knob then who am I to argue...
16. Thanks for responses guys, I posted this up and popped in on my local motorbike mechanic. I had already had a peak at stator and internals could see nothing wrong I gave him the symptoms and he immediately said rectifier. I said we had checked diodes and resistance etc he still said rectifier. Cutting in to early to stop over charge. A quick Google, a bit of a gamble, afew days wait and £15 later bike is charging again. Thanks for advice just thought I would drop this in for communal knowledge. Other top tip is don't jump start bike from running engine, it might be what did it in first place....
17. Your profile does not give location but if you go to local yamaha dealer with intention of "pricing" the parts you will need and the costs for them to replace they will probably tell you. Round here I would recommend Dearens in Hythe although no longer Yamaha dealers they still have knowledge.
18. An odd fault on my 2005 FZ6. The voltage on the battery is fine 13.5v at idle bring the revs up at the current drops of till the volts are 10-11v which is below that of the battery at rest 12v. An suggestions as to cause? Diode test on the Rectifier that seems fine, Ohms check on stator again that seems fine. Just as the revs build the volts fall away...
19. Get your full licence, if bike needs a service well you could change out plugs filters it may not cost a whole heap more but I would not expect miracles.. As for bike for commuting I would look for bike for commuting and a toy bike as well for rides. Maintenance and fuel costs soon mount up, biggest thing I noticed compared with my 125. If you have managed this long on your 125 I would seriously consider keeping it though the winter, as weather comes in and your hooked on the bike. Its lighter and slower if you do manage to drop it. Either way glad your enjoying your riding iit does get you to work with a smile...
20. I really want too disagree as some one who does not want the expense. Then I also know how to check wheel bearings hitches and brakes. I have also been securing dinghy's on road trailers since I was a kid. Possibly more important with trailers teach people how to pack them. Generally we move heavy stuff to a secure point above Axel's. On this occasion given our 10 minute deadline and 6 mile tow to next site we did not spend that 5 minute. The one short stretch where I could get to 50 mph I knew it. Sadly add all the legislation you want make somthing fool proof, you will only create a better idiot...
21. Would not go that far certainly should only be allowed on motorways and dual carriageway between 7 and 9am and that's as someone with a caravan. Other suggestion is check if caravan or motorhome caravans normally want to get to next site. I know for me towing I get sick and tired of having to slow for the knob behind overtaking to find that we are not the cause of the problem. They failed to notice we where stuck behind tracktor out bus that no one can get passed. Coming here it was the knob in Mercades that decided to try overtaking on blind bend got half way passed to see 1 on coming car and 2 family with young kids cycling down main A road. The car behind got even more frustrated with us breaking suddenly, then when I could finally pass. The car behind accidently had a go at taking cyclists out as they where frustrated and not looking as well. Yet it was the caravan that was the knob go figure..
22. Campsite owner, who took a dislike to us pointing it that new arrivals where setting up to close to us and eachother. I mean close 4 caravans 1-3m apart, nose to tail. Then decided at just before 9 next morning to give us 10 minutes to leave the site. Very agresivly, publicly and in very insulting tones. In the end he would not talk to me but would try to talk down to my misses whilst insulting me. He was not going to get far, she had a challenging job in face to face customer service industry for 20 years. Even with this going on we managed to clear site in a respectable 20 minutes. Including hitching up at 50 degree angle due to proximity of caravan and awning ahead. I commented on arrival the next site he looked sheepish, my misses said she just pointed out how he was in wrong. It took longer than 20 minutes at next site to write suitable reports for various safety infringment and send photographic evidence to local council, fire service and as certified site the club as well... Plus a few site reviews. Good luck with his threat of reporting us to the club, we are not even members. We did not know it was a certified site till he told us he was reporting us. We have advised the club this.
23. Seems the standard of driving of these guys vary... I saw a wide load escort vehicle tell indicating to an Ambulance with blue lights going to stop to allow wideload to pass (knob) ... Ambulance driver carried on, driver of wide load got our of cab and directed traffic for ambulance to pass (legend) ....
