  1. Nope, sorry. What your saying is possible. But upper back discomfort could also be caused by riding with your shoulders too stiff. Before you start playing with spanners, it's worth trying consciously to relax your shoulders every 5 minutes and seeing if that makes a difference.
  2. Mate you're a star. Sol is 100% on my level. PM'd you my address.
  3. Need to get yourself a dog, mate. I might have to employ the same strategy here.
  4. I had a Tiger 800, like yours a 2019 MY, but I didn't have it for long enough to know what to look out for on an older bike. There are three models: XRx (the standard model) XRt (top end) and XCa (off road). Don't know which your's is, but probably not the XCa as I think they all had spoked wheels. The engine on your bike is completely beautiful, but the beauty stays largely hidden until you reach higher revs. Keep it in a lower gear and it will reward you. 4th - 6th are for motorways and dual carriageways. Good to see it has crash bars. The top box is a good idea too. Don't be tempted to get the Triumph panniers - they stick out so wide as to make filtering almost impossible. I had a pair, but did my best to avoid using them as much as possible. I found the suspension was a bit too budget for my liking - the front didn't track well, and it was unpredictable when leant over. I had a new shock put on, and resprung forks and this fixed all the problems. But with suspension what doesn't work for one person is fine with another, so see how you get on. If you find you need to change things, there's not much adjustment you can do with just a spanner. Enjoy the bike! And the sound - it has that great wail that can only come from a triple.
  5. Amazing to see how those downpipes have turned out.
  6. Still don't completely understand... why was your insurance cancelled, when he was the one in the wrong?

    Newbie

Welcome in. Congrats on the new bike.
  8. Nicccccce bikessssss! Second pic from Finchingfield?
  9. I first stumbled across this one - from Starson to Hempnall at least - just this summer gone. It's nice. All useful information, thanks. It's good to know I'm missing out on fine Norfolk riding for want of finding the right roads. I'll stop trying to look for what doesn't exist, and stick to Suffolk and Essex.
  10. Welcome! All the best for your CBT.
  11. Yup Mr Aging has it right. You're not doing the lifesaver to check your mirrors are working correctly. You do it to check your blind spot, and 90 deg of head turn is enough.
  12. Wife has put the marriage vows into practice and shared her covid with me. We're both staggering about the house trying to look after each other. Day 4 and still getting worse. I think Christmas is a no show for us this year.

    Newbie helloing

Hi @herbal. "Not a talker" ranks as one the best introductions I've read. Welcome in. Nice bike, by the way.
  14. Yeah they always existed. Back then, a few of them would get a book published and the libraries would classify it under Epistemology or Parapsychology, which was always kept by loos, and that was about the extent of the public attention they were able to get. As a muppet, you couldn't make much money or get much influence in those days. But social media allows any muppet to publish anything, and its algorithms make it really easy to connect with other muppets, so now I can build a whole lifestyle and income stream on being a muppet. It's big business.
  15. Great to hear she's back home. Wishing her a speed recovery. Not at all easy being a carer - even just for a while. It can all creep up on you, so take care of yourself too.
  16. Just as a test, the next time it tells you something, and when you look at it carefully you find it's correct, then challenge it. See how quickly it backs down and apologies.
  17. Covid has decimated bonio towers. Wife is sick in bed.
  18. Reasonable weather for it. And 11 hours door to door isn't at all bad
  19. Ooops. Sooo many cameras on the main roads in France. Did you smile for the pic?
  20. I would take that as good news
