Thanks! Would I need a special tool to attach one of those though? May be but as already mentioned make sure you know the thread pitch before you buy This one i've just found should tick the box https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminium-Honda-CBR-VFR-CBF-Other-Top-Yoke-Nut-M24-x-1-00mm-Silver/322111757617?hash=item4aff5b5d31:g:ydQAAOSw9VZXOwZv Cheers However I don't know the thread pitch or how to find out what it is!

Hi! I'm trying to fit a fork stem attachment to my bike (triumph TT600) for the purpose of holding a Sat nav, I removed the steering head nut (if that's what it's called?) and fitted the mount: However I realise the nut needs to be replaced with one without a cap on, wondering what would be suitable - something like this? https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/HIGH-TENSILE-SELF-COLOUR-BLACK-METRIC-HEXAGONAL-HEX-STEEL-FULL-NUTS-CLASS-10/122261968385?hash=item1c77619601:m:mh6tFrMJP4jhQlgYLOMvfZQ Or if not then what would be appropriate? Thanks in advance

Pinlock Insert
Liveware Problem replied to manxie49's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
It depends on the helmet too, I have a scorpion with pinlock fitted which has been absolutely fine and was simple to fit, However I more recently bought an LS2 helmet with pinlock specific to the model.. which just doesn't fit! I tried and failed, sportsbikeshop sent me another one.. still didn't fit. I sent the helmet back for them to fit.. they returned it but the pinlock still wasn't properly sealed to the visor. Useless! -
Not allegedly, they actually admitted they do it to compensate for aging batteries, can be fixed by paying for the battery to be replaced! https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.vox.com/platform/amp/2017/12/22/16807056/apple-slow-iphone-batteries I'd steer clear of Apple, you get better specs for less money with android. But it's all down to personal taste really.

Great I'm still a novice, passed my test Feb last year, can just about go around a corner without crashing into a hedge Been to H cafe, but not Newlands corner or box hill yet. There's some nice roads in the South downs around Loomies

Happy Birthday TMBF What an amazing place, full of the best kind of people, friendly bikers

Nice bike Bob! I live in Reading, give me a shout if you want to go for a ride out sometime, down to loomies maybe. Although I doubt I'd be able to keep up with you

So the chain tension seems to be in spec for now, which is lucky as i seem to have lost a vital part of my abba stand (ordered a new bit online) Instead i fitted the aftermarket exhaust that came along with the bike, it's much louder

Thanks Hoggs! I just remember what a pig's ear I made of doing the same job on my ybr some months ago but will give it a shot

Hello, I've stepped into pitstop again, oh dear.. So I need to adjust the chain on my TT600, a couple of questions: The manual says to check the tension whilst the bike is on its side stand - but presumably I'll have to raise the rear wheel off the ground to adjust the tension. So I must check, raise off ground (I have an abba stand), then return to side stand to check again? Wheel alignment - do I need to check this after the chain adjustment, or is aligning both sides with the corresponding marks on the swingarm sufficient? Not looking forward to this

Excellent! My Dad moved to near Abergavenny recently so that's accommodation sorted

Hmm, yes very arrogant, arguing the law with cops.. who else do we know who does that..

I think these type of cyclists are much more dangerous than the lycra brigade. I see so many (often not as early as I'd like!), must be at least half of all cyclists I see at night. Can't be arsed to shell out £5 for a pair of lights from Wilko then act surprised when they nearly get mown down

Warm Winter gloves
Liveware Problem replied to supermariu's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I have a pair of the RST heated gloves too, probably worth getting an extra pair of batteries for them as well as they last about 3 hours. -
heated gloves vs grips
Liveware Problem replied to lyncho1983's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Heated grips are great, but not enough for me when it's really cold. I got some RST thermotech heated gloves off ebay recently, a customer return to sportsbikeshop, £47 ( usually around £170 ) good quality, heat the back of the hands and fingers so complement heated grips well. Worth getting an extra set of batteries though probably. -
You must not get much riding in Blighty Six, not going out when it's wet, or cold.. what does that leave, 6 weeks at best?

@Tango I don't think it has the latest map, I meant to ask the seller that but forgot Haha, thanks I have seen that, I was a little dubious of the guy's technique, he seemed to be manually altering all the values to make the fuelling map look smoother without really knowing much about what he was doing

I'm lazy. I have no confidence in my ability to safely maintain a bike. That's it really. Could make an excuse about not having the time but I won't
