Lone Wolf, No Clubs Patch?
Liveware Problem replied to Youngbiker819's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Wait, beat them up? You have met me remember -
The guy that nearly took me out on the way home from work when he decides to go straight on from a left only lane, cutting right across me. I caught up at the next lights and he would only wind down his window a crack (perhaps scared i'd headbutt him? Lol) at least he apologised

Happy Birthday (for yesterday)

Was that why he left the Paras!? I detest small spaces, won't catch me potholing. And as for cave diving.. those people are mental.

Mod 1 - The nerves are kicking in
Liveware Problem replied to Scox91's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
That's quite normal, my only experience of riding was the CBT course prior to my Mod 1 training day and test. @Scox91 As Via said, you will soon feel at home on the bigger bike, pretty much everything you've learned about riding a 125 applies to riding a larger machine. Also you will have plenty of time to practice on your training day, the instructor(s) will be experts in preparing you for the test, have fun -
To be fair everyone I know/have met, including bonio, who's ridden one says they're great fun to ride, just expensive to maintain! Been riding a similar length of time, I'm on my 3rd bike too, or 4th if you count my scooter I have for work

Or better yet Twitter! They will definitely respond to that. Showing my age - I still can't get the hang of chopping my thoughts up into 140-character lumps. Whereas I can barely scrabble together enough thoughts to reach the limit I don't use it myself but several friends have had a quick response and compensation going down that route.

Beowulf exhausts
Liveware Problem replied to Lateralus's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Not of the precise match, but to be honest I'm not sure YouTube videos are that useful for exhaust sound! Yes to be fair I had the same thought after watching a few.. mics used just aren't high quality enough to give a decent idea of the true sound. I think you should go for it, it'll sound epic -

Beowulf exhausts
Liveware Problem replied to Lateralus's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
No experience with them, might be worth seeing if you can find a video of your bike with one fitted on YouTube? -
That is seriously repulsive! I once found a piece of gravel (No it wasn't a stone from a fruit!) in a jar of jam, that was enough to put me off that brand for life.

Oh God No, imagine having to settle for just an R1M I’ve had R1s before, as much as the R1M is an amazing bike, as weird as it sounds, it doesn’t do a lot for me. It’s thankfully a moot point now though, insurance sorted , now I’ve just got to wait 10 more days. I'm just jealous really congrats, going to be a long 10 days!
-
Well, get a quote for a car with similar specs in a similar group - probably a bugatti veyron - and see if that's any cheaper. It's all relative It’s not really the same thing though, an R1M is as highly grouped and worth as much but is fine to insure, its a really weird situation, spoken to a couple of places today and hopefully in hand, I don’t actually want to have to settle for an R1M!. Oh God No, imagine having to settle for just an R1M

Yeah, is last year's no good? I wouldn't mind going to the same place.

Thanks, I don't know anyone with a lathe so I think I'll need to buy one. Measures the diameter, I think I'll need an M22. That ebay item l loaded is Thread M24 x 1.00mm Material - High Tensile Anodised Aluminium Got one on the way.. if it doesn't fit I'll have to get one of those tools oldgrump mentioned
-
Thanks! Would I need a special tool to attach one of those though? You could finger tighten it and then gently tap it round with a hardwood drift to avoid damage or use a small C spanner. If it we're me I'd go for the previous suggestion to machine the cap off the old one. Thanks, I don't know anyone with a lathe so I think I'll need to buy one.
