Helite airbag
Liveware Problem replied to Liveware Problem's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
£450, that's not bad. And the ability to buy replacement cartridges is definitely a big plus. -
Has anyone tried these? http://www.helitemoto.com/ I came across them because of a YouTube video, the guy reckoned he'd avoided injury because of his airbag jacket. They seem like a good idea, deploying if you come off and protecting your spine and internal organs. Though you pay a pretty hefty fee of course.

Yea that's what I'm thinking. There seems to be a lot of aftermarket screens for it that look rather good. Especially with a dark tint. Cool, it's surprising how much difference it can make to a bike's look - there's an sv650 I see regularly that has a really hideous screen

I've done it!

Congratulations kammy -
Looks great, perhaps if you went with the cb500f you could fit an aftermarket screen to negate some of the windblast?

The government encouraged diesel because of the lower CO2 emissions, but they forgot about all the other nasty stuff like particulates and Nitrogen dioxide which are now poisoning us all especially in places like London.. I'll be glad to see the back of diesel.

Cool, you'll have to do a write-up for us

So much better. Are you planning on keeping it, or selling on?
-
That looks stunning! Do you have a before pic as well?

Thanks Hoggs Still working unfortunately! I hate capitalism

Motorbikes in Nottingham's bus lanes

There's something about a twist-n-go that encourages hooliganism, besides the general invincibility the average rider of them believes they possess! -
Motorbikes in Nottingham's bus lanes

Reading has some you can use, some you can't and some only at certain times. Have to say I enjoy whizzing past queueing traffic on the main route out of Town in the mornings Can't really argue with the response you got from Nottingham Council though, seems logical enough. -
Happy Birthday Hoggs! Enjoy yourself

Gloves Soft or Hard Knuckles
Liveware Problem replied to a topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I guess its always a toss up between safety and function and you can never be 100% protected. Hell the only safe way is NOT to ride and drive a car instead........ Or just don't leave the house full stop.. Scratch that, bungalow so you can't fall down stairs -

Gloves Soft or Hard Knuckles

I was grateful for my hard knuckle protection when I came off in January, somehow took a knock to my right hip and right knuckle. -
Really nice, great choice! You're going to have a lot of fun on that. Fuel injection too, perfect

....it's another cbf 125 isn't it?
-
Great bike by all accounts, I'm jealous!
-
Very nice! I just got a 2000 hornet a few weeks back, same colour too (the best colour) Enjoy
-
Nice, like the colour scheme

It says: engine starts but then stops Suggests: improper choke operation carburetor incorrectly adjusted intake pipe leaking improper ignition timing (faulty ignition coil or ignition pulse generator) fuel contaminated I'm guessing fuel contamination is unlikely, it's had at least 2 tank loads from different filling stations. Improper choke operation - by me or a problem with the choke itself? The other 3 sound plausible?
