  1. Good luck with the Sale. I cant make my mind up if its a good time or not, with high bills and mortgages etc, but then I see people spending like its the last day on earth, buying bikes and eating out etc. I just don't get it.
  2. Cheers Mike. The kids (well not really children anymore) clubbed together and ordered Bumot pannier frames for the Bike.
  3. Its Shite Selling Bikes, you will nearly always find, the buyer doesn't want to pay the asking price and wants it for nothing. I would say you've priced it at an attractive price that will draw some attention. I personally wouldn't drop any lower, if you can hold out for the price that is.
  4. Nice. I hope you keep us posted
  5. How many days in total........

Welcome - Northeast USA, now that's a large playground
  7. I have had Heed bars on a couple of bikes and agree they are great quality and no doubt will be purchasing more however I wouldn't say £48.46p is small change, especially for UPS to lose them and take forever to deliver
  8. The Heed one's I purchased, I think came with Nylon Dome nuts.
  9. Yep, looked at that too. Another reason for my choice, its a bike I would also ride in the rain and through winter, if I commuted again that is.
  10. I know what you mean. I looked at the HATAS, Tiger 1200, GS and another 1290, even the Suzuki GSXS1000GT, all brilliant bikes however, the wife isn't fussed about touring anymore and with the second granddaughter on the way, she will be spending time helping and looking after them. So after the accident I wanted to go smaller, but keep the touring capacity.
  11. Bought a KTM 890 Adventure. Addictive little buggers.
  12. I had them on the 1290. Brilliant tyre, wet or dry. Travelled to Normandy last year, 2K and never looked like they had touched tarmac. Pity I never got to do anymore miles on them. I am a Michelin fanboy though.
  13. Damn, glad you're ok tho, that's the main thing, at least you can limp home and get sorted, hopefully for the next trip.
  14. I think they would give the test centre a wide birth if they installed a mine roundabout
  15. Now you know, I certainly hope you find something that you can make a living at. Good luck in the search, hopefully it will be something that you can enjoy too, just like the last one.
  16. Good luck with the test, bike looks nice.
  17. Is that the one with the Rotary Wankel
  18. Went out for a little ride on Sunday, shoulder still not right, so tonight I finished off cleaning the MT07 ready for it to go soon. The replacement search continues, I am swaying towards a KTM 890 adventure, smaller, lighter but with great luggage capacity. Will see how this week pans out, currently speaking to a couple of dealers to see what I can get for the dosh
  19. They are decent, and I will order some for my new bike, just a pisser having to pay about £30+ import.
  20. You can do it, we've all had bad days and set backs. Just go back and try again another day. If it's any consolation, I went out today on my bike with the intension to test ride a KTM 890. I rode like a Tw*t, so I turned around and went home . I will try again next weekend.
  21. Happy Birthday
  22. However, import duty kills the bargain.
  23. Me; No. who am I signalling to. I would ensure I follow the correct road markings for the route I am planned to take. But then again I'm not the one taking the test, you are - what would you do!!
  24. I bought mine about 3 years ago, we had a trip planned to Wales, parking was behind the B&B in the town centre, no security, only disc lock and Monimoto. I have seen it before abroad, pissed up yoofs coasting down hills on unlocked scooters. Ask me how I know
