  1. 246 Miles in and used 18l of fuel. By my reckoning, I'm getting 62 MPG but then again, it is the honeymoon period. Obtained a quote for the 1st service, £££ varies from £189 - £210, are the days gone when is was roughly the price of the oil and filter for the 1st service.
  2. Our council, for the what they are worth, have been pro active in combating fly tipping. However, they do take all waste, asbestos, tyres etc but plasterboard, the amount of checks prior takes a forever and it is banned from landfill
  3. The forecast is mixed on Sunday, so I need to get out on the bike, desperate to get some miles, so I can get the first service completed before any trips are organised. Come rain or shine, I think I will be heading out, unsure of which direction or county yet.
  4. I tried looking into doing something with my old gear and kit that the kids have out grown, the only thing I found was Ebay charity sales and then select the charity 'Two wheels for life'. You still have to pack and post, Just like any other Ebay sale. Wrong I know, but I haven't done anything with them yet. I
  5. I put them on the 1290 before heading off to France last year, 1600 miles later, looked like they had never been turned, excellent in the wet, well IMO.
  6. Ah well, I suppose its Cheshire, county of the wealthy, unlike here, if the local tip didn't take them the local Knuckle draggers will set them alight and roll them down the streets.
  7. Norway has to be one of my Favourite countries. We did the Fjords back in 2016, my highlight was the Briksdal Glacier and Flam Railway
  8. The wife and lad are with Three (My experience with Three is shite) on the old Three deal she had data roaming abroad, upgraded phone due to technical issues, they then changed the contract and all new contracts you have to pay extra for data abroad, I think she was duped out of the old contract, my lad who is on the old Three contract pre 2020 can use his data. I was given the wife's old I-phone 11. I soon gave it back I'll stick with my shitty Android on O2, £12 for 20GB and can use abroad. I have no desire to pay ££££ a month for a phone. I have never used more than 4GB a month
  9. I usually just boil water for a cup of tea. I'm a tea belly. But do take a small pan, if I get the urge to cook something, I do take my own Vodka though. Last year in Bayeux, I stayed at a very basic site, just a cabin with 10 cubicles for ones ablutions. Each evening at the front of the site, a food van would arrive, Pizza's, Kebabs, local dishes etc. @dynax erm, are you off camping somewhere
  10. Our Local Tip take tyres, have you checked your local council waste recycling centre, if they do, just have the info on your phone ready to challenge.
  11. 'What Yer Doin Sunday at 3pm'
  12. All my gear is stored in the garage with the bike, it also doubles as a changing room
  13. @hoycch Bolton Lock Company on the A6 at Westhoughton. Similar profile to Fiat.
  14. All that constructive feedback must have been useful Congratulation's on passing your test
  15. Morning, drizzle here, might just venture out a little later. Time to start the running in process.

Even a dedicated thread by our local Ninja Chef
  18. Took delivery of the KTM 890 this morning, pleasantly surprised when I put the ignition key in to find they filled the tank for me..
  19. Is that part of your test route.
  20. I think Anglesey has its very own micro climate. Once camped at Niwbwrch Llanfairpwllgwyngyll at Awelfryn Campsite, beautiful view of the Llyn Peninsula, it was pishing it down over the Peninsula and lightening, although cracking the flags at the campsite.
  21. Along that road you have a no entry at the bus station on the left. IMO Straight on is straight on, as you approach and your observation skills kick in early as you approach the lights, you can either start to signal left and move over to the filter lane or signal right and move over to the right. I am assuming the instructor is saying, you signal if it will benefit others, I would concur however that is normally a busy junction where people don't pay attention to red lights, your call Edit: oddly enough there is a left turn before the bus station no entry, so be careful, the bus might think you're going for a pint in the George & Dragon
  22. I've asked myself the same question for the last 20 years

    Dentist's

Glad its sorted, toothache is a pain that you cant really put up with, I cant stand it either when the wife gets it however, we've been today, as much as I don't like it, I'd rather go to the dentist than have my hair cut.
