  1. Its getting costly for us older folk now too
  2. Nope, not got a clue what they are. We still use th'oven n th'ob
  3. I haven't got a scooby. I was meant to test ride the HATAS but due to the bad weather, never made it. Currently looking at all the brands.
  4. Well I've decided to sell the little MT07. Gave it a good clean this morning, ready for sale.
  5. It is possible to have a key made or the ignition is picked and once at P2 it can be removed from the housing, the tumblers rearranged and a new key cut, the only problem is, is it chipped with HISS, at least his key wont fit, If you get the keys back, its then very easy to revert the ignition barrel back to original key.
  6. What's the budget, plenty in Auto Trader but north of £3K
  7. What budget. Honda CRF250 should meet your requirements. Edit: Or a Cheap TTR250 Edit Again: What used to be cheap ain't cheap anymore
  8. Will it be a service at 16K, valve check and all, have you an idea of cost
  9. @MikeHorton@Gerontious The bike will be a replacement for the KTM. However I have also been keeping a close eye on a Ninja 1000SX What appeals to me is, the HATAS (just like the KTM SAS) is a bike that would make me feel I want to get it out of the garage in any weather and have the capacity to go anywhere at anytime, with or without pillion and enough luggage space for a fortnight for both, using my Bumot Panniers and top box, that said, do I need an adventure bike if I'm never going to go off road. So that is where the Ninja 1000SX with Luggage come into play, but I feel its not big enough for 2 up touring, and not a bike I would like to ride in winter or inclement weather, Second thoughts the Kwak might be the best option I visited Williams BMW on Sunday, daft prices for high mileage bikes, as good as they are I don't think it will be another BMW.
  10. I have spied an HATAS I am interested in. Might just have the urge to splash out tomorrow.
  11. I only found out my car MOT was up when I submitted 3 months of expenses, company policy only paid expenses for business use when provided with Insurance, MOT & Tax
  12. Not as good as a van, but you can hire bike trailers cheaply. If you have a towbar that is.
  13. 1. Head on Collision. Young Boy racer on the wrong side of the road, yes we were on the Cat n Fiddle (bike and me were a total right off) 2. White Van Man on drugs and charged at scene, decided to reverse over me. He decided to anchor on whilst travelling down a country lane and just started reversing without warning. Received a letter from the Police this week to say the driver was due to appear in court last week but never showed. (Currently on going)
  14. +1 Agree with the above's. However I prefer to blatt it down to Folkestone, I don't mind the 5hrs of grin and bear it, I just want to get out of the country and enjoy the roads and countryside abroad.
  15. They tend to do that, especially just after Christmas. Oh, What's your location/part of the country are you in.
  16. I haven't enough belongings to fill something as ridiculous as that.
  17. Insurance companies and their thieving off spring are only after your money and how much they can claim from each other. They're all good until you make a claim. Your probably over thinking it. example - we have your bike and waiting for the 3rd Party to acknowledge and value the bike, will you sign the storage agreement until this gets sorted, the agreement is between you and us and the storage is £1000 a month, but we will claim it from the 3rd party, if you don't sign, we wont be able to claim the money from the 3rd Party and will have to return the bike back to you. Me, don't give a @uck, fetch it back, I have plenty of room for storage, then I will meet the valuer face to face and we can talk money. I have insurance because I need it to ride legally. As for reviews, a perspective of someone opinion, not worth a carrot to me. I've never experienced a good insurer or their hangers on yet, no matter who they are. Buys your insurance and enjoy many happy years of claim free riding.
  18. I'm shocked Yorkshire folk would even contemplate paying that price for breakfast
  19. Flog it, some else will enjoy it and you get to enjoy your 6 DOF Platform
  20. Went for a ride on the MT07 to the Local Yamaha/Suzuki dealers, been looking for a replacement bike. I am fighting the urge not to buy another adventure style bike. Looked at the Suzuki GT, nice sports tourer and a likely option, then saw the new Busa (sadly out of my price range). The Yam GT9 is another option, then I saw an Honda NT1100DCT with Luggage, great bike but too Dullville. Now sat here thinking a ride to BMW Dealer next week to see what they have, gawd help me in there, but the local Suzuki near me is also the New North West KTM dealer, opening in a few weeks. The search continues.
  21. I probably subscribe to about 100. Top 5 Million Dollar Bogan 44 Teeth Andymancam Bald and Bankrupt Lamb Chops Rides
  22. @RobCB1300 I use this site to find accommodation, hit google translate. Motorrad Touren & Motorrad Hotels | BikerBetten | Bikerbetten
  23. What Sort of real world MPG do you get out of it. It looks like a good go anywhere machine. Is it comfortable for all day riding.
